This is the third Levoit humidifier we've bought. I had to return a digital one because it didn't work and got another analog control one. These analog ones are the way to go for us. KISS. Keep It Simple Skippy. These are very easy to fill and to clean.

Update: discovered the leak issue was apparently my mistake. I had moved the humidifier a few inches by picking it up by the water reservoir indented handles. Apparently this was enough to break the pressure seal between the tank and the base. Took the unit apart, checked the float, which was operating fine, and refilled the humidifier. Marked the water level with a crayon and left it in the kitchen sink overnight. Leak had stopped and no water lost. This was operator error on my part. If you have moved your humidifier when water is in the reservoir using the indented handles, there is a risk of leaks developing around the water reservoir and the base. As precaution, I placed a dollar store cake storage pan under the humidifier just in case. Changing my review to five stars. Very happy with the quiet operation, ease of cleaning, affordable replacement filters, and it's ability to raise humidity in our 12' x 15' family room. Purchased four of this model as I trust the brand. Two were sent as gifts, and two are in our home. One began leaking two weeks from purchase. We are adults,no pets, humidifier is on the carpet and stays there. We don't walk through that area. Use soft water only and clean it every few days. Will contact Levoit. We absolutely love the compact shape, easy to clean, basic design. It is quiet and made a great difference in the humidity comfort level. It really does cover the square footage claimed. Other than it leaks, we really like it, but am hesitant to replace the leaking one with the same model. We also bought two Levoit bedroom humidifiers, round 2 liters, and they are fantastic.

No problems, surprised how quite during operation.

This is a good product it operates as stated in the description. However it does not accommodate a large room. It is good for a medium size room. The large water tank is a good feature and it lasts a long time.

UPDATE: A year later, December 2024. So my first winter I bought this it worked perfectly without any issues. I dried it and stored it in its original box in my closet, and, took it out this year. Immediately it started leaking at the bottom seam of the tank itself. Not the plug-in electrical part. The tank itself, the part you can carry to fill it, where the white bottom of the tank meets the clear tank, the seam started leaking. I tried snapping it into place and putting caulk around the seam and letting it sit to cure for a few days, before refilling with water. The seam eventually starts leaking again and even breaking the caulk within a few days (this is heavy duty caulk so I don’t understand how this possible. It would appear the weight of 1.5 gallons of water just can’t withstand a seam in that location no matter what sealant you use, so I’m gonna call it a design flaw. I’m sad because I really liked this humidifier the first year I used it. So I usually prefer something warm mist instead of cool mist during the winter, and for some reason I thought this was warm mis. It’s cool mist. Usually I’d worry about mold in cold water, but I’ve been using those little cleaning balls with the beads in them, and that has helped. So far no mold. This helps me so much with breathing when the air gets dry here, and I just turn on the space heater when I turn the humidifier on to keep things warm. It’s quiet, no obnoxious lights, holds a lot of water, stays clean, and produces a lot of mist for a good long while (at least 12 hours it seems like). Definitely happy with this purchase.

A beast and easy to use. Love not having to deal with digital display/buttons or an app, just a good old turn knob. This has been running 24/7 since we got it.

I received the LEVOIT Classic300 humidifier two days ago. I have a large bedroom and during the winter my skin and nasal passages get very dry during the night We already had a small humidifier but it just was not doing the job. The LEVOIT has been running for 2 days straight now and it is doing a very good job. It is very quiet and the top fill feature is really great The mist is fine and does not drench the surrounding area as some humidifiers are prone to do I am satisfied with my purchase

I was looking for a humidifier that didn't have a lot of bells and whistles (I don't need a bright, digital display or a humidity sensor that's never really accurate anyway), but one that did have a large tank I wouldn't have to constantly refill (and it's nice to be able to actually see the water level, unlike some), a rotating nozzle so I could control the direction of the mist, and a good design that looked sleek and modern. This model from Levoit perfectly fit the bill. I like that I can see it working, and it puts out a lot of mist; the tank lasts a shockingly long time, even on max. Biggest pro for me: I love that I can just lift the lid and refill the tank! No underside knobs to try to unscrew with wet hands, struggling to fit the tank under a faucet (though you can refill it that way, thanks to large carrying handles built into the sides.) I don't use distilled water as it recommends (who has the budget for that?), but I do use filtered water from my pitcher (you know the one) that I just bring over and pour, and it seems to work just fine - no white dust anywhere, and it sits on a black table. The only thing, unless I missed it, is that I wish it expressly noted it uses a filter you have to eventually replace. I would prefer one that's filter-less that I can just clean myself with vinegar or something, but even the added expense of replacement filters is worth the ease and aesthetics this humidifier provides. My otherwise dry eyes, nose and skin in my radiator-heated home can definitely tell a difference!

Such a great buy, if you crank it up it easily will increase the humidity in a 1400 sq ft house within two days. Great product!

Got two a couple of year ago, one is still working, the other getting noisy when turned on. Need to change the noisy centrifugal DC fan, but can’t find the part.

We are happy with it because of the ability to get Toronto air above 35 per cent in our bedroom. We had to replace the last one because it started making loud noises and this one for now is silent and apparently way more powerful for a condo principal bedroom. There is no light unless it's empty which is wonderful.
