This is a GREAT decaf coffee for cold brew. Not bitter at all and very smooth. The grind is perfect for making cold brew! I am a return customer for as long as this product is available!

Update- I have dialed in my methods with this cold brew and grind my own beans. It is now my go to for decaf. It’s a really flavorful and nutty dark roast and the beans have been consistently good quality. I changed my mind and now have this on auto ship. Love the 2lb bag! I drink a ton of cold brew (black) and always have regular and decaf on hand. I decided to try this brand because of the good reviews. I should have known as soon as I opened the bag by the lack of good smelling ground beans (no smell whatsoever) that I was going to end up with a lackluster cold brew. I brew with a toddy, 1:8 ratio, and know my extraction technique is up to par. Flavorless brew at 24 hours room temp in the toddy. I would never use this brand again. It’s a hard no for me.

For 1 it's not course but not fine either. I love that it's cold brew decaf!! Hard to find. A very small pkg for the money though. I like my cold brew strong, bold but not bitter. I also bought some big bag decaf cold brew for my cold brew pitcher. This & my bag 1s have a good flaver but by themselves are not strong enough for me. I put a bag in & then this in the filter part. Let it set over night & is great the next day & for days afterwards. No bitter taste. No heartburn or heart palpation. So truly decaf.

I had high hopes for a robust flavor without bitterness when I ordered Jō Cold Brew Decaf, and it absolutely delivered! Needing to limit my caffeine intake, I tried a few prepackaged decaf cold brews, but they all had a bitter, acidic taste. Determined to find something better, I decided to purchase the County Line Kitchen Cold Brew Coffee System and Cold Brew Jō Decaf. I followed the instructions that came with the cold brew system, then placed it in the fridge overnight for 13 hours to let the grounds work their magic. The next morning, I poured a shot of Cold Brew Jō Decaf, braced myself, and took a sip (I drink my coffee black, no cream or sugar). WOW, what a revelation! There was no acidic taste or bitterness—just the perfect balance of what great cold brew should be. I highly suggest experimenting with the brewing time to find your ideal flavor, but for me, 13 hours is perfect. I'm thrilled with the result and can't wait to try other varieties of Jō coffee. Truly stoked!

My genetics and life experience prove I’m a slow metabolizer of caffeine & cannot tolerate even a little. Im so bummed about it because I love coffee and hate this is my kryptonite. thrilled to have found this organic decaf to enjoy ☕️ The aroma is heavenly. yay!
