HOMCOM 7000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner 4-in-1 Air Conditioning Unit 15m²

Been using this since the first heatwave. So far it is still holding up since May. It's seen regular use during that time for maybe a half or a third of the days. Effectiveness: It takes a while, but it can take our room down to just under 25 degrees, sometines 23 degrees, from an ambient internal temperature of 28 or 29 degrees, whilst it is over 30 outside. I did a lot of reading on what to expect and this is apparently normal for a single hose unit. There are things you can do - get a hose insulator, get a plastic seal screen for the windiw etc that can make it more effective, but it does the trick. It's not going to keep the place icy, but i have to say that when you walk from 29 degrees to 25 degrees, you really feel the difference. Noise: it IS noisy, but i don't think it is more noisy than any other portable AC. I haven't yet measured it. The quieter setting is only a little quieter so we usually don't bother with it. Size: what drew me to this is that his model is considerably smaller/more compact than other units of this strength, as well as other units wuth a higher BTU. We have limited space so that is a huge bonus. The fact it's also lighter is really in its favor - 18kg is a lot more portable than 23. Looks: looks nice enough. Though doesnt look premium. The remote doubt come with batteries but is fine. Summary: for the price it, does very well. Was genuinely surprised as you don't know how effective it will be when it's an affordable option. The 5000 btu version came up on lists as a good budget unit and I thibk this one is similar. A great budget choice. I'm sure the much more expensive ones may cool faster or be slightly quieter but I can't complain at all given the price.

Great little machine, does the job ans keeps you cool. Not too noisy.

Used in home and motorhome during recent heat. Works really well, the air coming from the rear vent it hot and the front is very cold. Get it close to a window for the vent to be most effective.

DEHUMIDIFIER is fantastic, esp run over night on E7 cheap electric, started room temp below 20C humidity 66, didn’t even need to vent it (took humidity down to 37 but room temp increased, so optional on vent the hot air (I didn't mind, as air was good quality and not muggy so will definitely be use that feature in winter). COOLING small room, n worked quickly not under powered - made my own window Perspex screen to vent it, cut a hole for nozzle and attached fittings (so can’t comment, on commercial ones available eg. plastic zip up ones for windows that open out). FAN on moving air is well powered and quiet for how much volume it shifts. REMOTE control, can't comment as never needed to use it, just set the aircon and leave it to it. Pleased with purchase bought two.

I searched alot for the right unit and opted for this given the reviews. To be honest I’m disappointed, I’ve had it now for a couple of months - it is noisy I’m surprised by the reviews that say it’s not (but no more than any other air con unit) and it brings the room down a couple of degrees after a few hours but I really don’t feel like it does what you’d hope for from an aircon unit that has been on in a closed room for 5 hours before entering (my bedrooms small to medium size) you’d like to think your come in to a cold room but it’s just average (I use the window vent provided and keep the door closed) Unfortunately I am disappointed in its performance. :(

I recently bought the HOMCOM 7000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner and overall I’m quite happy with it. It does a good job of cooling a small room and definitely makes a noticeable difference on warm days. It’s especially useful in a bedroom or home office, which is what it’s designed for. (homcom.info) It’s also nice that it has multiple modes like fan and dehumidifier, so you can use it for more than just cooling. The remote control and timer are handy features as well, making it easy to adjust without getting up. That said, it’s not perfect. Like most portable units, you do need to set up the hose out the window properly to get the best performance, and it can be a bit noisy at times. Overall though, it’s a solid air conditioner for smaller spaces and does what it’s supposed to. If you’re looking for something compact and effective for summer, it’s a good option.

Good performance and does cool the room really well. The unit is fairly small so doesn't take up too much room . But needs to be near a window so the hot air can escape through the outlet pipe. For the price i paid i think its good value.
