These combs work nicely for long hair. My hair is fine, but there is lots of it. These combs hold well, and look nice.

Such sturdy combs that hold my thick, wavy hair easily
I love using combs like these when I am wearing my vintage outfits for a more vintage look but my hair is thick and wavy so I have struggled to find combs that will hold my thick and wavy hair without breaking. These combs are amazing! They are bit heavier and the teeth feel more sturdy than other combs I've used and the thick tortoiseshell tops are very authentic for vintage looks.

Quality side comes for fine hair
Good quality materials with tight comb nice for fine, straight hair. Color is interesting but not to my eye "blue".

I love the high quality of these French combs. They are beautiful, come in a cute packaging. The combs work for my long hair, I do have finer hair but a lot of it. This particular size is good for my type of hair. It’s a great value for the money. They are very easy to use due to the different sides. The pattern is in one side and then there is gold on the side that faces out when you go to comb back your hair. You then flip it to the patterned side.

Not Small At All
These were not small at all. They were too big for me to use to I ended up throwing them away. If they were small, they probably would have been nice to use.

Lovely
These are great. Sturdy, I feel like they will last a long time. Holds my curly hair back out of my face without ruining my style like ponytails would. Very chic styles created with these combs

Flimsy
It did have a high hold for the two or three uses I got out of it. The teeth move quite a bit with use and broke off in the first week. I would expect that out of the drugstore versions that cost $1, not $10. For reference, I have short, very fine, slightly (2a) hair. Definitely not a hair type, volume, or amount that strains hair accessories.
