The #4 medium worsted weight gives the hangers enough substance without becoming bulky, which matters when you want the finished piece to actually be functional and not just decorative. The green tones colorway is a nice mix - enough variation within the pack to give you options without having to buy multiple individual skeins. For gift making especially, having a cohesive color family to work with makes the finished hangers look coordinated and thoughtful. Three packs gives you a solid working supply and Red Heart's yardage is consistently generous, so you get good coverage without running short mid-project. The value is genuinely good - you get a lot of yarn for what you pay, which matters when you're crafting in volume. One honest note on texture - this isn't the softest yarn you'll find, so it wouldn't be my first choice for clothing or blankets where softness against skin matters. For craft projects like covered hangers though, that's a non-issue and it performs exactly as needed.

I'm an American and I live in Europe and the yarn just isn't the same. Red heart and others like it are not available here on the shelf. It's just different/better to me from what's available here.
