First let me say, I truly thought this product was going to be another gimmick and another waste of money. I AM SO GLAD I WAS SOOOOO WRONG! I have no idea how this product works BUT IT WORKS! We have been adopted by a cat. Showed up at the house one night. Of course we had to feed her ( We have 4 dogs all rescues) So I promptly got both wet and dry food for Chloe ( the stray cat) Within an hour of placing it outside ( in bowls of course) they were covered in ants. Now I have a pest control person so I was quite shocked to see that many ants. I was truly at my wits end. I read the reviews and I was like yeah sure. But I bought it on the slim chance it would help. I have been using it for 3 days ( shipping was quite fast as well) Not one ant!!! I just place the bowl of food on top and dont have to worry at all. Chloe is actually getting to eat! Now I rarely ever leave reviews or feedback. But I had to this time as that is how impressed I am with this product. Such a simple product but amazing! Thank you to whomever created this! Almost a week in using these. Still working like a charm. I did notice some ants on the top of her cat condo but NONE in the food. The key is I think to not put it next to anything. Like a wall etc. Nothing that the ants can crawl up on and then jump into the bowls. I placed them center of the roof on the cat condo

I purchased this item to set my dog bowl on to prevent ants from getting to the food but unless you find a way to bolt down the dog bowl it slides off. Also despite that it says large, it is about the size of my hand. Also, it only prevents a certain size ant as it says in the guides once it arrives. I honestly do not understand how anyone can use this or why. Honestly, you would be better off buying a plastic container like a kitty litter box and putting a couple to a few inches of water in it and then placing the food bowl in there to prevent ants.

Love that my cat doesn’t have ants in her food anymore. It was truly driving me nuts trying to find an area where the ants would not ruin her food. It was impossible! Tried putting her bowl in pans of water which she hated and ended up in a gross mess. This is such a relief! No ants! Amazing. Just wish it were not so expensive. So far bought 2 but I still could use 2 more for our outside cat’s food stations. So much less wasted food. What a great product!

Works pretty well at first, is small. I bought multiple for cat dishes and trash cans but ended up throwing them all away within a year because they stopped working (might be a way to “refresh” them but I wasn’t sure how). I feel their packaging is probably too expensive and would prefer a cheaper price or a way to extend the life of the product over packaging.

I was a little disappointed about the size probably needed 4 to fit under our automatic feeder. But it does keep the ants away

I was excited to order this product to get rid of the ants around the cat bowl. The item is very small 4x4". The food bowl barely fit. My cat was able to scoot the bowl off the "pad" and ants attacked. What I didn't know about this product is that you have to order several of these, as they fit like a puzzle. I am not willing to pay up to a $100 for this product. The moat system works just as well.

This item has worked very well. It has kept the ants out of my cats food bowl.

i get little ants on the occasion. and these work great at keeping them out of the cats food! ** UPDATE: I have my cat food dispenser on these. And woke to ants all through the food waste about a half of a bag of food. Of course falls after my return window closed.
