PackTowl Personal Quick Dry Microfiber Towel for Camping, Yoga, and Sports

I bike to work and in the mornings I take my showers at a gym near my office during the summer so Im not all sweaty from the ride in. I didnt want to pay extra to rent a locker there so I got this and some camping washcloths and stuffed them in a toiletry bag to shower at the gym. Its a great system, but it entirely hinges on having a full-sized towel that can be folded extra compact, dries super quick, and is lightweight for when I'm cycling. Its super absorbent and honestly dries a bit better than the normal towels I use at home. And when I get done and go into work Im able to hang it up and its dry in about an hour before most of my co-workers even show up. I imagine that if youre outdoors with even a gentle breeze this goes by even faster. I like the colors of it and the pouch it comes with is great for keeping it stowed away. The texture is a bit different so give yourself a week or so to get used to it. I tend to wash it once a week but since they are so quick drying you can probably get away with even longer periods between washes than that. Assuming youre only using it after showers and not to wipe sweat or something like that. Get one of these and you wont regret it

Buying a towel isn't exactly the most exciting thing out there and this is one of those items that kind of makes you question why you're doing it. I'll explain why I bought one though. I'm traveling more, and using AirBNB more. Not every house / apartment I rent is furnished with towels and packing a full sized or even 2/3rds sized bathroom towel takes up a lot of room and takes a long time to dry. With traveling more, I'm trying my best to do carry on whenever possible and reduce the overall items I carry. This PackTowl does what it says, packs down small and dries quickly, without getting a moldy smell to it. It comes with a little travel bag that has mesh on it, I'd imagine if you were in a hiking / camping situation this bag would be handy to ring out the towel, fold it and then hang the towel off a backpack to dry as you walked, but I probably won't have a need for it. The fabric is amazingly soft, super absorbent and really nice to use. Stitching is all done to a high quality and it feels much more expensive then it really is. I bought this after reading reviews on The Sweet Home, and I'm glad I did.

It's kind of hard to get excited about what amounts to a low-pile microfiber towel with a snap and a carry sack, but for hiking use this is a surprisingly nice product. At a size of 10X14, this is basically a useful enough size for most tasks for a backcountry hiker. Washing hands, cleaning dishes, using as a pillow cover, use as a pee rag (obviously, you'd get a second towel for this), and yes- cleaning off your body. You won't be using this as a regular towel, but a backcountry shower consisting of a couple of wet body wipes and a Packtowl slightly dampened with water goes a LONG way to keeping you feeling fresh and motivated. It collects and holds an enormous amount of water and it dries off when clipped to the outside of your backpack. Very simple and reliable. Packtowl does carry a couple of other lightweight, small towel options, including the Nano. However, what you'd find with the Nano is that it's so thin that it's essentially a very large eyeglass cleaning cloth. I'm sure that this is enough for a ultralite hiker, but to me this really degrades one of the best features of using a microfibre towel in the first place, which is its enormous absorbency. So to me, the Personal is still the best towel to bring along with you.

I bought the beach towel size. It works great to dry yourself, but despite the description that claims "Ultrasoft, looped terry knit microfiber towel that feels just like fluffy cotton towels", it feels nothing like a fluffy cotton towel. It kinda sticks to your skin because it dries off all the water. So I usually mop up the moisture rather than wipe it off. Packs super small and is light, and dries quickly.

After a review from a trusted sure i decided to purchase this and am blown away at how good it is. It's small, very absorbent and dries quickly. I've taken it on multiple trips around the world and find it wonderful. In third world countries you never know the total situation and this is the perfect add on.

I was apprehensive buying this towel because of the surface texture. I've had other cheaper towels with a similar surface and they were uncomfortably sticky to wet skin. This towel does stick a little but it's not a real issue. The absorbancy is fantastic I could have gotten one two sizes smaller and it would have done the job. For me 6ft tall broad shoulders I wanted the big one. It fills the role of many things including a nice blanket for use on busses or aircraft. Works well as an extra layer while camping to keep my feet warmer. I've even used it as a wind break at camp. As an edc pack towel even this size is convenient and actually is carried in my every day pack. Great if your out and you step into the gym for a quick shower. This doesn't take up alot of smell even using it for a week without washing it. Further it dries very quickly. Worth every penny.

I bought this towel for my summer trip through Europe where I only had a small backpack with me for a 3 month trip. It worked really well for showering & even for beach trips! I was so happy with how fast it dried, because many times we would only have a few hours to pack our bags and head on our way to our next destination. My friend had bought a different type of towel that took nearly the whole night to dry, she kept on mentioning how she had wished she got one like mine. The size of the towel was perfect & I really liked the small carrier pouch because I was able to fold it up small and it took up hardly any room in my already small backpack. I would definitely buy this product again (as I left mine in Turkey, accidentally) and highly recommend it!

I bought 2 for my husband and I to use for travel. Small to pack, lightweight, absorbed quickly and thoroughly, dried fast as well. First use was when we found ourselves near a natural hot spring...unplanned. much thinner than I expected - doesn't feel like a towel, but it absolutely does the job. Also used it for picnic both on the ground and to cover a nasty table. Love it!

Easy to roll up into small size for day pack or suitcase. No chaffing when used on the hands and face, added bonus of being quick dry. Washed it, placed in shade to dry and was ready to go in no time at all. Strong fabric that takes daily use with pulling threads or tears. Nice little product to have handy for travel or hot days.
