The steel is fairly heavy gauge and the porcelain coating looked decent. After only a few weeks though, two of the five pieces have large sections of porcelain that has just flaked off entirely leaving the metal beneath exposed and rusting. This happened with the original weber parts only after several years, leading to severe rusting that required their replacement. As such, I expect those two bars will rust much faster now and will need to be replaced in no time. I'd suggest spending the extra to get the genuine part.
