I can find other brands but it is sometimes hard to find Malta India in my area. I went to several stores in San Jose, CA and could not find it. It is generally regarded as the best brand of malta by most Puerto Ricans. I was making pasteles and had a taste for it so I was glad to find it on desertcart. Is it expensive? Yes but I would have had to settle for another brand if not for this option so I was happy to pay a few extra dollars for Malta India which to me is the best. It came quickly and very well packaged so no chance of any of the bottles breaking. I would order again! Review: Wrong price. $40 for 8 small bottles - A total rip off for 8 small bottles for $40 dollars one came broken .. When I looking it said 28 small bottles for $20 dollars. When the package arrived its only 8 small bottles for $40 WTF!!

I'm giving this soft drink a 5 rating because it is very good, tasty. A popular beverage in tropical climes, the product description is spot on, except for the Puerto Rican derivation (maybe this particular brand), as it actually originated in Germany. It is listed as not currently available from Amazon, so I won't detract on the rating for the price (as no price is shown). I would never pay more than $1.50 for one bottle, which is actually kind of high, as the price is artificially inflated in the U.S. due to its scarce availability, and that is likely due to lack of marketing. If you're reading this review, then you are likely not familiar with the product. As I said the description given here is accurate. Look for it in a bodega that sells latin products.
