I’ve landed a fair amount of fish with that reel. It was a good upgrade from my sienna. The drag is the main attractive feature. If you match it with the right rod and braid your are sorted without breaking the bank. It is Braid ready as well.

This is a great fish reel. I use them for Salmon fishing in BC rivers. Strong and durable drag system. We have caught (and released) many with these reels. Smooth action, good finish.

I love to go fishing. As much as i love it I have to keep things on a tight budget. My references are mid to lower end Shimano and Abu Garcia. I value reliability and smoothness. The KastKing Sharky 3 fits the bill quite nicely. It is as smooth as any reel I've ever tried. No wobble or gear grinding . The ten ball bearings no doubt help with that. It looks expensive (really the fish won't care) and has the feel of a premium product.It has many nice touches, carbon fibre washers for the drag, braid ready aluminum spool, larger than average bail. To say I was impressed would be an understatement. I bought this as a Christmas present for my nephew and after trying it out I found my self wishing I had kept it. When one of my other reels needs replacing I know what I'm shopping for. Well done KastKing.

Great reel for the price. Very smooth. Pulled in some nice lakers with it.
