I absolutely love this case. I've dropped my phone many times from decent heights - 4+ feet - and my phone is damage-free. And this happens often, usually on hard tile floors. I purchased this case almost exactly one year ago and while the screen protector is, in fact, scratched up, it is by no means "unusable". In my experience, the case also doesn't restrict usability. I'm not sure what the negative reviews claiming this case makes their phone "unusable" are doing, but if the case is installed properly (a quick process), you should be able to easily use your phone. It is bulky? A bit, yeah. It's designed to protect your phone from falls - you're trading aesthetics for practicality. With that said, it's not any more bulky than similar cases and I'd say it's actually fairly streamlined. It looks good and even after all of those falls, the body of the case isn't scratched up. If you're worried about dropping your phone, I cannot recommend this case highly enough. It lasted for a year of drops and bumps, and I'm only buying a new one because I'm ready for a different color. The case is still fully functional. It's a good investment. EDIT 03/19/2021: I purchased this case two years ago (I'm writing this a year after my original review) and I just received a new one. This case is fantastic... IDK what else to say. The number of times I have dropped this phone is honestly ridiculous - by all rights, it should be shattered by now. There is not a single scratch on it. For two years that case protected my phone incredibly well, even when dropped on concrete. The screen protector does get easily scratched, that's fair. It's a small price to pay for how incredibly protective the case is IMO. This isn't a case to put on and off often, to be sure - once it's on, it's on. You can absolutely get it off, it just takes longer than you'd probably want if you were changing cases often. But if you're looking for something to keep your device safe, this is the way to go. And for the record, the original case isn't broken. I'm replacing it because I have dropped it so many times that it is starting to become dinged up (just now, after two years - a pretty good run IMO). I don't leave a lot of reviews, but this case is amazing and deserves the hype IMO EDIT: I finally purchased a wireless charger (stand style) and it works perfectly with this case. EDIT 9/28/2023: The second one I bought is just about ready to be replaced, so I've just ordered another. Seriously the best case ever. A+ case!

Update 1/16/2018 I am still loving this case, have dropped my phone several times.. From about 2 feet onto a tile floor a few times, I've had my phone on my lap and gotten out of my car and the phone falls to the asphalt and no damage... So protection wise I am very happy. The only problem was the built in plastic screen protector that got so scratched so fast. I just got a glass screen protector from Amazon and it works with this case!! I popped out the plastic screen protector, removed the glue that held it in place and it fits with the new glass protector!!! Problem solved. This is the one I purchased..... Old review: I've had this case since the beginning of August and I have to say, I really do like it. I've dropped my phone several times, mostly from just a couple of feet on tile, wood floors and outside on the concrete and asphalt. No damage to my phone or even the case. Once it went down a couple of steps on my deck and it did get a little tiny chunk out of the rubber that goes along the side but that's it. The phone was fine and that's what counts. The only downside that I can find with this case is that the front screen protector gets scratched really easy. I've contacted the company about it and suggested that they make available a replacement to buy but that's not an option yet. They did offer to replace the whole case because of this issue which is amazing customer service. I received the new case and my screen is looking great once again. But I know that it will be short lived. The case offers really nice protection along all sides so it does add some hulk to the phone but not so much that it takes away from the phone. I think it's a good looking case. I have the blue to match the blue S8 plus that Best Buy was offering. Based on the build of this case, it's look, the way its protected my phone so far and the customer service, I would definitely buy from Clayco again. The 4 star rating is solely because I know it will only be a matter of time until the screen protector is badly scratched once again. I may fiddle with the old screen protector to see if there is any way to pull the plastic off and just use a generic film screen protector on the phone glass, held down my the frame of the old screen protector, if you know what I mean. If I do and it works, I will post an updated review.

Great case!!!!!!!! I have replaced my phone twice and have been through multiple cases and screen protectors, probably spend over $800.00 total between all purchases trying to protect & replace my phone. I have always had the Otterbox Defender with the screen protector built in, or the Commuter with tempered glass protector. This is what the Otterbox and Lifeproof should have been. I cracked 2 phones in the Otterbox case with Tempered glass Protector on it, the drop was under 4'-0". I was on the fence because i thought that nothing this cheap in price would be any good, WOW i should have bought this from the first and saved my-self a ton of money and aggravation. This case solid build, 3 layers of protection, and does not suffer from the issue of people not hearing you on the other end of the phone or your sounding like your in a tunnel (I.E. the lifeproof issue from day one). Not sure why anyone would use the lifeproof case our phone is already water proof so there is no reason for the blockage where the mic is for the phone. If Otterbox would have put the screen protector built in like they always have I wouldn't be writing this review. I would definitely buy again and recommend to anyone who has a S8 or S8 Plus that doesn't baby there phones. I have dropped my phone, on concrete and hardwood with ZERO damage multiple times in this case. Even dropped (on accident obviously) from about 5' on the concrete sidewalk watched it bounce and thought no way the phone survived and sure enough i checked and it is perfect condition. The only thing some might say is negative (personally not me) is the screen protector is plastic so over time (months not days) you will notice some scratches at certain angles, but this is with ANY plastic screen protector. If you used to have Lifeproof or older Otterbox Defender cases then this will be no issue for you. Trust me if you have owned either of those cases for previous phones save yourself a lot of money and get this one. You can buy (5) of these for the price of (1) Lifeproof and you'll never hear someone saying I can't understand you or why do you sound like your so far away from the phone......

This is a great case for my phone. The feel and durability of the case is excellent. I'm a truck driver and clumsy too so I drop my phone quite often. My phone has fell getting out the truck and tumbled like a gymnast when hitting the ground many times. I don't know if the impact caused the screen protector on the phone to crack at the bottom left corner and fine hair lines at the top right corner. As far as the case there was no real damage to the body of the case. I believed it may have helped with the impacts so I had a screen protector on the phone inside the case for extra protection. As far look, feel, and durability I give it a 5. Now as far as the screen protector that's a different story. Once it started getting scratched from day 1 it was downhill from there. I can admit maybe if I was a lil more careful with the case, the screen wouldn't of gotten as bad as it did that quick, but in the end it would've been bound to happen. It started feeling like just by looking at the screen it started scratching. The phone is such a beautiful phone and it robs the quality of it with the scratches. The screen is responsive with the protector and it seems to break on the sides where the plastics are glued together and allows dust to get into the case and on the screen. Another reason for having that extra screen protector on the screen. Maybe that happened to me because I took off the case often at 1 point. The edge button is hard to use (same on i blazon) and swiping the top of the screen down for notifications is a bit of a drag. The screen started getting a bubble feeling like playing the game trouble and pushing the top to pop the dice when pressing the screen. Compared to i Blason, I'd prefer the I Blason. It is sleeker and thinner, the screen responds almost as if there is no protector on it, and I misspell words because it responds so much better when touching the screen. I don't like the clear back on the I Blason myself because of fingerprints so the Clayco has the better design as far that part to me. If Clayco sold the screen protector separately I believe people would lean towards buying it again. I'm big on protection on my phone. I like slim cases with heavy protection. Dropping the phones honestly I believe the Clayco would win the face or back first test no problem. Not a bad case at all. If it was slimmer to me and a better screen protector quality I'd prefer this over the i Blason

Great case but not waterproof I purchased this only to use during my Christmas season Caribbean vacation that involved a lot of beaches and day cruises and jungle excursions with my wife and two year old daughter (lots of moments where I would be taking phone out to get good vacation pictures). Normally I work in an office and don’t use my phone during my commute or at home so I never really need or use a case. On vacation though when taking lots of pictures and having your kids watch Netflix/YouTube on your phone it can create lots of opportunities for drops and damage. This case did the trick and my Samsung Galaxy S8+ came back in one piece. From the pictures and advertisements I thought this was a waterproof case similar to the LifeProof brand cases. It is not a waterproof case but the phone it protects, the Galaxy S8, is already water and dust proof so that was no biggie for. If you are doing snorkeling or taking underwater pictures and videos then water will get inside the case and interrupt the touch input of the phone's screen. When I was underwater I had to remove the case and use the phone naked to get access to the touch screen. After the fact I realized that you can remove the clear screen cover and just put the phone inside the case without the screen clear cover. PROS: phone survived a couple of scary 5+ foot drops in the bathroom on hard tile and on a rocky beach as well as the metal surface on a catamaran. Buttons are all easy to press inside this case. Face ID and Fingerprint all work the same. Case looks good and without too much bulk. High quality materials (plastics and rubber feel and smell good). Easy to put on and take off your phone. CONS: Not waterproof and water gets inside between the phone’s screen and glass cover which renders the touch input phone useless when used underwater (I.E taking pictures or videos). When wearing polarized sunglasses the phone's screen is really hard to see thru the screen protection clear cover. The screen protector on the case is not glass nor is it tempered glass which is fine because the plastic material protects the phone perfectly but the plastic cover collects prints and dust on the underside if you do not insert the phone properly. This can make putting the phone inside the case tricky. The good thing is that after the phone is inside the case properly it does not collect dust underneath and I had it at a couple of sandy beaches during my vacation.Because the Samsung Galaxy S8 backside is an easy to grip “sticky” glass switching to a smooth plastic case back was immediately slippery to the touch. Having rubberized grips or areas on the case back to supplement the rubberized sides would be ideal. Still not a big deal because a slip and a drop won’t harm any phone wrapped inside this case.

TLDR: Extremely well built, extremely nice looking, comes with screen protector, high end look and feel. I've had my S8+ for almost 7 years now, since they came out, and this is my 5th or so case for it (and many tempered glass screen protectors). This case is head and shoulders above anything I've ever had this S8+ in. Quality: When assembled, the case feels great, looks great and all the details are just right. The weight of the combined unit feels strong. There are no gaps between the bottom case part and the top screen cover. Protection: the main case is made of a rubber shock absorbing material that feels like it will absorb the impact from a drop. The case mold itself is slightly curved which seems like there's no way the actual screen protector or front will hit the ground on a drop unless the screen protector side hits the corner of something (which is rare when going to the ground). Looks: The border from the top screen cover is grey and sits as an inner border when mated to the black bottom case piece. The joining of these two parts is really sharp looking with the grey inside border and black outside color. Coupled with the slight curve mentioned above, it just looks really good. All the ports have connected opening rubber covers to protect against water and moisture, particularly good for keeping out water in the charging port, which can take 3-5 or more hours to clear before the sensor will let you charge again. Since this case doesn't have any finger loops or kick stands it fits perfectly into any cradle like the one you might have in your car. It also lays flat if and works well with wireless charges. And in general just feels easy to use and balanced in the hand. On top of all this, the top screen protector part 'seems' to be more smudge resistant. I've immediately gotten smudges all over every single tempered glass screen protector I've ever had, and shortly after every cleaning. I've barely had any noticeable smudges on this screen protector. Not sure how this is happening, but it's an unexpected bonus. Overall excellent case. When I move on from this S8+ phone I'll be looking for the same style case, hopefully from this same manufacturer. Somehow the phone just feels upgraded when paired with this case. Try this case, most likely you will be very happy with it.

This case has proven to be a reliable and secure protection device for the samsung s8 plus my wife uses. This combination screen protector and case is a great choice for any phone and especially a great choice for any curved screen phone such as the galaxy line; phones which are notoriously difficult to apply a screen protector to. Screen touch ability works just fine , visibility is great, device is extremely secure without any loose feeling or movement around edges or the layers of the case. Installation was simple. I am more than confident that the expensive phone its wrapped around will be protected from falls or drops or accidents or our grandchildren's use. Reception, bluetooth, and all other connectivity work perfectly. Speakerphone and microphone and camera works well. The opening on the back for the camera is built in a way which makes it easier to find and push the button in the back. The blue color selected is beautiful and the designed backing is nice to look it. Feels good in the hand. Side buttons are easy to push. The case does add thickness, any good case usually does, but to me, phone thickness is not the most important factor in a phone. One spends 900 dollars for exceptional performance, memory, screen size and resolution, and capabilities....not to have a credit card thin phone. The samsung galaxy is thin enough to where applying such a case....merely transforms it back to "normal" less expensive phone size dimensions in regards to thickness. We have bought 6 cases for the samsung s8 plus ( my daughter in law has had issues with the brands she has tried, including the screen protectors), including samsung OEM products. This one is the best. To recap, anyone interested in a stylish COMPLETE protection case for their phone for a great low price should look NO further than this product.

Final Edit: I've been using this case for about 3 months now, and I will be retiring it today. The screen protector has many little scratches and they're starting to effect the experience of using my phone. I did manage to drop the phone once during its life in this case, and I am pleased to report that the case worked flawlessly, and it bounced gently off of one of the corners and only only a tiny scuff on the case. That said, I am switching to an open case with screen protector, which I will be reviewing after I've had some time to use it. There are a few things that I like about this case, it is easy to fit my phone into, and it fits perfectly, The color I ordered is nice, and the protected ports are also a nice touch, but there are a few things that are left to be desired. Firstly, and this might just be a person preference thing, the case has very low grip. I am used to cases with a bit more of a "rubberized" grip feeling, but this one is very smooth and as such it tends to slide out of my hands occasionally, or if it's sitting on my lap in a moving vehicle it will inevitably slide off onto the floor. Also, the screen protector, which is built-in, has two problems, it greatly reduces the sensitivity of the screen, which is to be expected, but it really requires a lot more effort to register a tap on the screen. This may be because the protector sits very slightly above the screen, so I have to press down hard in order to make contact with the screen. The second, lesser, problem is that I've noticed debris and trash tends to get inside the protector and accumulate, although this can be an easy fix by taking it apart and cleaning it periodically, which is a good idea either way. Overall I feel confident that my phone is well protected and is not likely to get damaged in a fall, which at the time of writing this review, has yet to happen. So I will give this product 3 and a half stars starts since it does seem to do its main job well, albeit it with a few shortcomings. I feel eventually I will end up replacing this case and get one without a screen protector built in, and use a screen protector applied directly to the screen, which I admit, I hate applying.

Love the case, very durable, nice style and colour, all buttons and touch screen work brilliantly, dropped the phone several times and it's not really done any damage at all. Only downside, the screen protector does scuff and scratch very easily, the casing doesn't. However I would buy the same cover again when I replace.

Une installation rapide, enfin une protection complète du téléphone S8 plus. La coque est de bonne qualité,2 clapets protège les entées prise du casque ainsi que la prise de rechargement ( parfait) . Le téléphone est maintenant un peu plus large dans la poche et plus lourd, mais bon cela ne dérange en rien son utilisation. La protection avant bien qu'épaisse ne change en rien la manipulation du téléphone. ( aucune latence sur la réactivité) . Je conseille cette coque largement à tous les utilisateurs de S8 Plus , qualité et prix est au rendez -vous que voulez vous de plus. cdt

No suelo escribir reseñas pero este producto la merece. Increible carcasa para Samsung Galaxy S8 plus, se adapta perfectamente, fácil de colocar y protege el móvil muy bien. La pantalla funciona perfectamente, no pierde nada de sensibilidad (y eso que yo tengo un cristal temprado debajo, y ya os digo que va perfectamente). Los botones laterales encajan a la perfección en la funda y funcionan fenomenalmente con la funda puesta. Para aquellos que usan ring phone como yo, se le puede pegar perfectamente detrás. Le doy un 10. Podría ser más económica y tener más variedad de colores, pero por lo demás es la mejor funda que he probado en los años que llevo usando móviles. No puedo decir si protege de caidas porque aún no se me ha caido ( ni espero que se me caiga), pero estoy muy tranquila por lo protegido que tengo el móvil si llegase a ocurrir, ya que mi móvil va al suelo a menudo. A tener en cuenta que el móvil va a pesar más. Añado que para retirarla (yo me volví loca buscando como hacerlo), primero quitar la parte de detras rígida, y después, por la parte de delante abajo a la derecha hay un huequito en la esquina, meter una lima de uñas rígida o algo parecido con cuidado, para retirar la parte gris de silicona por esa esquina, y ya luego podremos retirar la funda con facilidad.

Es la segunda que compramos. Ha durado 6 años, en los que emos ido a escalar pescar, se ha mojado, mi pareja es mecanico y el telefono en su interior sigue intacto. Si la cambiamos fue porque se desvanecio el color un poco y estaba ya muy sucia pero repito. 6 añoss
