The clips & cable are a bit smaller than I expected, but it is made well. This is really going to come in handy. We are getting a new puppy, and when I am working in the yard, I want to keep him tied up so he doesn't roam too far away. The cable is thin, so I am not sure about using this for a 35-pounder.

Perfect size for my 11 lb. Havanese. The clip and chain do not strangle him and it is light and secure.

The ends where you clip it to the dogs collar are cheap. And the little tab that you have to pull back to clip it to the collar is so small that it's hard to clip to the collar. Our dogs are small. But I had one of the clips actually brake off and the dog got loose. I replaced the clips that are heavier and made of brass so they wont rust and brake. I had one of these cables brake that's why I bought this replacement set. The cables are soft and flexible and the length that I like. I just took the brass ends off the old pair and put them on this new pair. For the price there not bad. I'd buy them again and put my brass ends on new ones.

My kittyboy LOVES the outdoors. Actually, it’s more accurately an obsession of his and he (& I) think this tie out is perfect. Perhaps it’s because his previous tie out was rated for our 100+lb Labrador OR the fact that neither he nor I had unrealistic expectations of a <$10 cable meant for DOGS, but it works great for our needs - even if it does sometimes get tangled up on things, which I don’t mind untangling in the least (I mean, you shouldn’t be sticking your cat outside on a line *without* watching him, so what does one expect)! What makes this tie out the best for him, however, is the fact that it’s very lightweight, but very strong (he’s about 18lbs), extremely durable, and the size and weight of the clips is ideal for a cat (or small dog). All in all, I would not only purchase this again (and will, if I ever need another!), but I would recommend it to anyone with an Adventure Cat like mine!!

Clasp is very small wire is also very thin I suppose it will do the job for a small dog just thought it would be be a little more on the beafy side my dog is 25 pounds but all muscles so I will be getting a thicker one with a bigger clasp

Perfect for small dog/puppy, easy for control and maneuverability

I have a 12lb cat who loves to play outside. We have a fence in the back but nothing in the front, so we use a leash system. I previously used a nylon leash but it seemed to get stuck on absolutely everything. My fear with purchasing this was it would be too heavy, but it is seriously light weight and strong. The cat doesnt notice a difference at all, minus she doesnt get stuck nearly as often. Now if only i could teach her that if she goes around a tree, she has to go back around the same way :) Good cable for half the price of a retail store one.

I have a 5 month old Chihuahua and needed something strong but light weight. This tie out lease delivered. I love that I can move it to wherever it is needed. Quality was great and price was so affordable. Peace of mind to keep my dog safe when I am outside doing my gardening

I would like the coating covering the wire to be more durable

The problem I'm seeing is the toggle that connects to the harness is too small. This is something that I hadn't checked prior to ordering the cable. I'm going to do some research here on the sellers page, to see if perhaps the next size up should have been purchased (this cable was for a small. Perhaps the toggle is bigger to allow the cable to be connected properly. If not, sadly, this will be returned. It looks strong though and we'll made at least and was a decent price overall. Note: this item even with being Prime .. is NOT returnable for some reason usually, but after a call.to.Amazon .. they said a "one time exception" would be made. Now going to be very careful viewing what's returnable with Anazon Prime. Therefore donating it to animal shelter for them to hopefully be able to use.
