perfect for remote setup
This works perfectly for remote head / radio separation. I installed this radio in a Jeep Wrangler unlimited as part of my Search an Rescue setup with the Motorola public service radios. It's perfect, all the cables were sufficient length and quality. Everything worked a treat.

Yaesu FT-891 Separation Kit
Everything you need to separate the control unit from the guts of your Yaesu FT-891. Be advised that you’ll need a speaker or headphones otherwise audio will still emanate from the control unit. It may be difficult to hear depending on where you radio is mounted. I used an inexpensive speaker attached to a Lido cup holder mount. (See picture.) This is a temporary mount in my Jeep that I use for Parks On The Air #POTA activations.

simple kit
This is my third order for the kit. i keep an hf in all my vehicles. I also use shark stick antennas for my mobile set up. easy to swap while stopped. i mostly use 10m 20ma nd 40m during the day. its on a tri mag mount. it holds up to 100 mph on a minivan roof.
