Killer's Instinct Outdoors Carved Round Wooden Mould Press Mooncake Mold Middle Eastern Cookie & Cake Mold 2-1/2" Diameter 1/2" Depth Maamoul Cookie Spoon

I used this mould for Ma'amoul fig filled cookies (Middle Eastern recipe I came across on TV) and I was nervous about whether the cookie would release from this mould, but since you must hit the mould on a solid surface to release the cookie, it worked like a charm! AND, if you've had a difficult day or dealt with a difficult person, this is the activity for you! I can't emphasize how great it feels to slam that mould down (it's hardwood, btw) and not only successfully release a beautifully moulded cookie, but also work out any of life's frustrations! No wonder Ma'amoul cookies are so popular (my Christian friend who lives in Lebanon says these cookies are traditional for Easter, and I believe they're popular for my Muslim friends for Ramadan, as they keep very well and are great for when friends/family stop by). I would HIGHLY recommend this cookie mould--every cookie released like a charm (clarified butter, aka "Ghee" is used, which I assume helps release the cookie, as well as smacking the mould on a hard surface--which is why it has a handle)! Very sturdy and nice, love the design!

I'm not well versed in cookie presses. This is my first one. But, from what I can see it's beautiful. The design is deep and came out lovely on the cookies. I am very happy with the results. It was very easy to use. If I began to have any sticking I would just sprinkle with flour. Either way a slight bang on my hand or the counter and it would fall right out. Great value for the money too!

I bought this to make date filled cookies. I should have bought something with a rounder shape but I could not pass this up because of the low price. The cookies come out pretty large compared to what I am use to. The mold works very well. I sprinkle a tiny bit of flour inside before loading the cookie. I just made 18 cookies, my first time with a mold, and they all came out perfectly. I just hit the mold on the pan and the cookie drops out. For reference on cookie size I used 3 cups of flour and date filling, got 19 cookies. The pattern is nicely detailed but I wish it was a bit more raised. Once I lightly sprinkled on powered sugar the pattern was hidden

Does what it's supposed to. Made well. Hard to get the dough out, but that's not a manufacturing fault, it's just a dough type for these cookies + shape issue. Well made though.

Used this to make some Turkish friends ma’amool. Had no trouble getting the cookies out of the mold.

Good in every respect, except — critically — the lovely pattern faded out upon baking. Looking for a better one.
