The dimples on the coaster prevent a damp or wet glass from clinging to the coaster
Ordered these because they were dimpled which means that they won’t adhere to the bottom of a wet glass or mug. And that has proven true as we’ve begun to use them. To give them a little more rigidity, we ordered and applied cork to the bottom of the coasters to prevent possible marking of our furniture by the silicone. My wife loves them.
