I not only teach, but I am also in grad school and have a considerable commute to campus when necessary. That said, I purchased this because I needed a travel mug that could go in my backpack without leaking. This one does the trick. It has a really nifty sealing top. I've read some reviews saying it's difficult to use with one hand. I have older, not-so-strong hands, and I found that popping it open was pretty easy, but if you are traveling, you don't need to close the top every time you take a drink because it won't spill through the drinking hole anyway. And it really keeps your drink warm or cold. And, I can seal it and pop it in my backpack to haul to class without any spillage. Quite nice, well worth the buy if you need something truly leakproof. One small drawback - it doesn't take to banging around too much. I did drop it from my desk one day, and it got a pretty good dent in it - a little more and it would not have stood up anymore. So, if you are looking for rugged, this is not it, but for everything else it works a treat.

I've been using the 20oz Snapseal mugs for, well, close to a decade now. Bought my first one in January of 2017. And I haven't used another travel mug since. They keep cold things cold, and hot things at the temperature of lava almost indefinitely. They're surprisingly lightweight compared to plastic mugs, thanks to the vacuum insulation. But not so light as to be unstable. They have the feel of quality, and my experience proves they very much are. The rubber grip is very comfortable and holds up very well over a period of years. They might not fit under most Keurigs, but frankly, neither do other 20oz mugs! My first mug lasted 6 years, until I drove off with it on my bumper and it fell off at about 20MPH onto concrete. Whoops. But that's the minimum it takes to even think about damaging the body. You may scratch them up, but they will stand up to more abuse than you would ever think possible. Of course, I replaced it with exactly the same. But this is where the caveat comes in. Both of those mugs suffered multiple falls with no problems, just scrapes. You can probably throw them through walls with no ill effects. Until they land lid first. Making the lid comfortable - and it's VERY comfortable - means using fairly soft plastic. Which is easily gouged and scraped, and even splits sometimes. Both of the replacement mugs are as straight as the day they left the factory, but the lids have gouges right in the drinking area that make them basically unusable, and one split so it isn't fully tight. That's the caveat. The mug outlasts the lid. None of them leak, but they cut up your lip if you try to drink from them. I really, really wish Contigo would sell the lid separately and I honestly don't understand why they don't. Drops and accidents aren't covered by warranty of course! And they shouldn't be! But it's really disappointing to have to buy an entire mug when all I actually need is a new lid.

Using Contigo travel mug for a while now it's best in class , so far no issues , zero hassle . Ease of cleaning, looks good, perfect shape for one or 2 person to carry hot coffee or tea keeps it hot for 3-4 hours easily

I have had a Contigo cup since 2017. I recently dropped mine, flat on its lid, on a tile floor. The sound I heard was a death rattle. It leaked from everywhere. I ordered this as a replacement. I do not like the lid on this one as much as the one I had. I think what I had is called an auto seal. It's perfect for 1 handed use. This new cup requires 2 hands to hold, open & close. This one did an excellent job at keeping liquids hot for at least a few hours (I burned my mouth). It kept it warmer than mouth temp at least a few more hours. Because you are basically pouring the liquid into your mouth, I prefer this for cold beverages. It's a very pretty cup (Juniper) and I think this color will last better than the one I had previously that scratched easily. Time will tell. Fits in my car cup holder.

I have several of these tea cups and they have never failed. They keep thins hot or cold for extended hours. This the perfect cup for your on the go coffee in the mornings. This is a very good brand and the price is good also.

I am beyond impressed with this travel mug. Its thermal performance is outstanding—I can pour my coffee in the morning and it’s still piping hot hours later. The Snapseal lid is completely leak-proof, which gives me peace of mind when carrying it in my bag. I also love the rubber grip; it feels premium and secure in hand. It fits perfectly in my car’s cup holder, too. Definitely a must-have for daily commuters!

I have SOOO MANY coffee mugs but THIS ONE is for REAL! It is 100% LEAK PROOF! I swear. I leave the house for work at 4:30am. AT DARK THIRTY! I dropped my mug in my car, it rolled under my seat (fun stuff @ 4:30am) and it got stuck under the slider bar for the seat. After pulling a MacGyver I got it out. NOTHING, NOT ONE DROP on my car. Coffee was super hot and tasted great. However, I really needed a cigarette after that and I DON'T SMOKE! GET IT!!!

These are my 3rd and 4th contigo travel mugs. The first one I left at a road side stop accidentally. The second one I dropped one too many times, I guess, and it no longer held the heat. But I got many years out of both of those. These mugs work almost too well. If you put very hot liquids in there, you might need to leave the cap off for a bit just to be able to drink it. They definitely hold the heat in for many hours. The shape is perfect to fit in every cup colder. They are absolutely leak proof.

Me gusta la calidad del acero inoxidable. Su presentación alargada permite llevarla cómodamente en el auto, ya que se ajusta perfecto en el portavasos. Su tapa SnapeSeal es perfecta para cuando vas manejando por que para abrirlo solo necesitas una sola mano. Además la metí para transportarla a mi bolso y no derramó ni una gota. Desde hace tiempo quería un termo en el que mi bebida perdurara caliente por varias horas, los que tengo a las 3 horas mi bebida ya esta fría, a diferencia de la taza de viaje Contigo dura 8 horas caliente por su doble pared. Es genial para estos días de frío. Me encantó porque puedo transportar mi bebida de una forma fácil, cómoda y segura. Y no pesa tanto como imagine.
