elago Case for Apple Pencil Pro & Apple Pencil 2nd Generation

It fits perfectly on my 2nd generation Apple Pencil. And it’s adorable. A lot of people mentioned that the pencil doesn’t charge after putting the cover on, but someone gave a good review on amazon that mentioned how to slip the case over the pencil. Basically line up the magnetic side of the pencil with the side on the sleeve that says ‘’magnetic”. It’s written on one side closer to the top eraser side. Didn’t have any issue with charging post that. Maybe could have been a bit cheaper. But loving the cover none the less. Grip feels good and let’s be honest- it looks adorable!

The case is so thick that the pencil doesn't even grip properly to the ipad case, let alone charge through the case. It tips over even when picking up the ipad. I purchased the case thinking it offers good protection to the pencil. Apple pencil is so fragile that a single drop will cause it to stop working. I knew before ordering that it won't charge through ipad cover but still bought it for protection of pencil. I charge the pencil once in 4-5 days by removing ipad cover or by removing the pencil cover. It charges along with the elago cover then. Edit1: Removing pencil cover to charge the pencil has resulted in a loose cover. It is not too loose but it is loose enough that you can easily slip the pencil in and out of the cover. Edit2: Pencil in elago cover fell from a height of 2.5 feet and now it is not working. What is the point of keeping the pencil in the cover! It not only looks ugly but doesn’t serve its purpose either. The pencil is sticking fine, charging fine, double tap is working but it wouldn’t write.

I like the overall grip the matte finish of the 2nd generation Apple Pencil provides over the 1st generation, but wanted more. Found this sleeve which looks and feels amazing in real life (just like the pictures) and bought it. It is quite pricey here in India (₹899/-), but I treated myself with this. The good stuff. It feels amazing on the Pencil. Some people on YouTube reviews etc said it is hard to put on and remove, but there’s a trick. Apply the sleeve by pushing the empty side of the sleeve, not the part that’s already on the pencil. The friction doesn’t let it slide, but pushing the loose end will just slide the sleeve on the pencil. While removing it, push it out from the rear end not from the middle or something. The friction is too high and it gets very hard to push. The hexagonal shape gives an amazing grip in hand for longer usage of the Pencil. (Also it looks amazing, just like a good old wooden pencil, why wouldn’t you want that?) The bad part. It charges by connecting to the iPad magnetically, but not if the magnetic region of the iPad itself is covered by a case. Even if the case itself supports magnetic charging of the Pencil. I would recommend buying an iPad case which has this open gap for the pencil instead of a covered area, even it has all the fancy magnetic features available. Or else, you will have to remove the Pencil sleeve or the iPad case every time you need to charge this thing. It may attach magnetically and stay there, but doesn’t charge if the iPad is covered. Keep that in mind while buying this or a new case for the iPad. Otherwise, I absolutely love the product. Could be a little cheaper though!

Man I was so dissapointed when i put this on because it's gorgeous and wouldn't work,until I saw this youtube channel about how to resolve the issue of the pencil not being charged through the case. So basically if you turn around the case on the bottom you will see "magnetic" written make sure the flat surface of your pencil aka the magnetic part is on that side and viola it works. I was so upset the whole day until I found that video. Hope this helps you homie <3

Cute and fun but kinda tough to put on and take off. The pencil's touch features didnt work too well with it on

I Was not sure of the cover because of the negative reviews. But turns out that people and not following the directions. On the other side of the cut out there is a stamp that says magnetic. The flat side of apple pencil 2 goes that way. Its not very clear and i think most people put the flat side towards the cutout which will not charge the apple pencil 2 wirelessly. I made the same mistake and the. Checked youtube to see potential solutions and found that part out. Now Only problem now is that the apple pencil does not charge with the ipad cover. No big deal i just remove the ipad cover and charge it. Its fast as i dont need to remove the pencil cover. 15 mins and i am good to go

I was expecting the quality to be more towards the premium end having to pay so much but highly disappointed with it

It fits fine. It feels fine. It charges fine. It looks fine. Does it make the pencil feel better? Nope. Is it life changing? Nope. Does it still charges when attached to the ipad? Yes, provided you install the magnetic side of the case properly to the pencil. Point to note, the magnetic strength of the pencil attached to your ipad is greatly reduced because of this silicone when compared to a naked pencil. So it might move about in your bag if you commute with it. Is that the end of the world? Not for me. But it might be to you.

If you need to take it off and on for charging, hold the tip then push the bottom of the sleeve towards the tip. The slot opens by this and the sleeve slips out easily stepwise. For putting the sleeve back again, push the tip of the sleeve while pushing the pencil in, so the slot opens and the sleeve easily slides over the pencil.

Ficou perfeita na Apple Pencil 2, porém não carrega no iPad.

The item was delivered on time, and in tact. I am happy with the fit of the case to the apple pencil, even my grip with the pencil is better now. I like the color and design. It fits on my logitech keyboard case, and there is no issues with the charging. I am happy with my purchase.

Also ich finde die Hülle für den Apple Pencil 2 wirklich schön. Das Design hat es mir absolut angetan. Sie sitzt sehr fest und verrutscht beim Schreiben nicht. Die Magnet Funktion klappt immer noch, nur etwas schwächer. Die Ladefunktion funktioniert aber nicht mehr. Dafür muss man den Stift abnehmen, was beim schwierigem anbringen doch etwas Zeit in Anspruch nimmt. Ich würde empfehlen die Hülle für Menschen die viel zeichnen oder Schreiben zu nutzen, da man dadurch weniger abrutscht und den Stift besser halten kann.
