The turned out to be great looking and sound string sets. They are much closer to Elixirs in sound then not
Aurora Electric Guitar Strings 9 Gauge Blue Made in the USA, little hard to find for overall selection but the color seems more durable than DR Handmade strings with the color shades. The Aurora tone is great but more like Elixirs then the DR's Handmade (and so far, last like handmade or about 15 minutes if you touch them) but otherwise which sound more like first hour of playing in-coated D Addario restrings. DR Handmade-Very nice percussive attack with a well-defined middle register sibilance and voice. Delicate color coating; so delicate corrosion benefit. Aurora- Very well balanced and otherwise sound more like elite coated strings like Elixir sets. Guitar pickups want magnetic alloys so not sure how much of those acoustic characteristic transfer in electrical terms. Aurora -The color is highly dependent on the unwound strings for a truly anodized or iridescent sheen effect. Buying more, and love the color, but would like more variety. Purple is very cool! DR Handmade – The color is very uniform and looks fantastic for display instruments, just don’t use them so the unique look is preserved. NO iridescent but still cool, Red and White really pop for some reason. Pink is also loud but difficult to distinguish from the Red from a distance. The Lime green is totally neon and awesome. Aurora - Will continue to buy for rehearsal and performance instruments. DR Handmade- Will buy for display instruments only. The price is about the same on average.

Love the color
I got these so I can see my strings in low light because my vision is less than perfect. I was impressed by the quality and sound. The color does wear off in time where you pick, but this is expected and does not change the sound as far as I can tell. I love the way the color really sets off a guitar. Kind of gives it a custom look. I will use these again for sure. I was using Dr. Neon also but see no difference in quality. I got this brand becausr Dr. was out of a color I wanted in this gauge. I will continue to use these strings.

DO NOT BUY
These strings sound good, but the color wasnt as bright as I had hoped, and wore off in a couple of days. Big waste of money.

Great!
They look great! And feel good. The color is good but I would have to wait and see how long it lasts hopefully a lot but they look awesome right now. I'm thinking of buying another set in a different color

Great! Color coordinate your guitar!
I bought the black strings to go with a black guitar. Red , Blue and Green.....I guess they would look alright if they matched the guitar color. (what will they think of next, flag colors, where they change color on the same string?) I haven't put these on my guitar yet to know if they sound as good as they look, but they look well made, not just painted on, like the color would peel off over time. My hat's off to Aurora for meeting the needs of the population with a quality product. The options for further product lines are definitely limited to the imagination of the consumers. (If Aurora's R&D dept. listens to the requests)

Consistent high quality
I’ve been using Strings by Aurora for at least… 10 years. Basically ever since I found them when looking for colored guitar strings. Even if you want “normal” guitar strings (order “Silver”) the quality is high. These strings sound better and last longer than any I’ve used. They’re a little more costly, but worth every penny.

Review
I love the color of the strings, but also the feel. They feel better to me than other brands. It always comes down to personal choice, however I recommend these. Very good strings for bending.
