No more difficult to install than a standard door knob. Works well. Easy to program.I live with my 90 year old mother with dementia and have to hide a lot of things for safety sake in my bedroom. This was the ticket to solving the issues I was having. You can set it to where it automatically relocks or you manually locking it. You could put on a laundry room or kitchen door if you have a loved one that you are trying to protect.

Didn’t work on my door

I had this lock for two years for my bedroom door. I only used it on the first day and I pretty much never used it. Today I had workers coming out and I had to lock my room. The key button mechanism doesn't work anymore. I thought it was a battery issue but I switched batteries and tried to reprogram it. The door locking mechanism is dead. It works fine as a normal doorknob but the locking mechanism is not reliable. I understand if I used it as a front door and it had a lot of daily use but I really never used the keypad function.

I bought two of these on December 22nd to put on two bedrooms that I rent out on AirBnB. The install was simple, and programming the code is simple. Between the two locks, I change codes several times per week, and I've only had very minor issues with the keypad. I'm not sure what issue people are having with the batteries, because my doors are used often, and I haven't had to replace the batteries since I installed them in December (it's almost June now).I'll start with the cons- The keypad is occasionally not responsive. The longest it's ever been unresponsive is maybe 2 seconds, and no guest has complained about it being unresponsive yet, so it's not a big issue.- The lock mechanism sounds clunky. It works fine, but it sounds bad.- The beeping is a little loud. So far no guest has complained when the other guest unlocks their door late at night, but I can hear it downstairs.Now for the pros.- It was straightforward to install.- It's simple to clear either a single code or all of the codes.- It's simple to add a code.All other aspects are working as I would expect. It functions as a door knob just like it should.When I installed the locks, I made sure to get the battery compartment perfectly vertical using a level. I also spent some time getting the alignment perfect, because if I just screwed it together, it seemed to bind a little when I would turn the handle. I wonder if this is why so many people have problems with it.

The lock is easy to install and set up, plus it looks good.

It installed easily but setting a code was touchy. It took multiple tries and it’s tricky to unlock but after a few tries it will unlock. It locks perfectly every time. It was pretty cheap to purchase as it was half the money I paid for my exterior Schlage keypad lock which works perfectly. You get what you pay for and this eventually works. It just needs patience to unlock it. I’d buy another for an indoor lock.

We have purchased a total of 4 Milocks, which have all worked great! Anytime we've needed assistance, customer service was extremely responsive , and helped resolve right away! Highly recommend!

I used it on garage side door, I like the fact that it locks by itself, looks nice. Would recommend.

This lock is almost $100 and has broken in less than a year of installing. Would not recommend.
