The problem with this steam generator is that when the calc valve needs cleaning, it's hot, and steam comes out of it when you release it. This did not happen with my previous steam generator. It is not very user friendly. The steam is good when you iron, though.

The best of the three different Tefals I owned

This is by far the best steam generator by Tefal . If you look after it well its performance is second to none . I love using it everyday . I use it quite heavily as im a bridalwear seamstress and its constantly used . Cannot recommend this enough . I also got a replacement tank as i cracked mine very slightly by accident. Tefal after care is also good . Spare parts are available online easily .

Bought one 3 months ago, started heavy leaking with dirt after one weeks. I replaced it, same thing happened even worse, requested a return. Absolute waste of money

I bought this to replace my existing Tefal steam generator which was still in good working order but wanted to pass this on to my daughter. Firstly, there is no cord storage for either of the cords, unlike the previous model. The tank is also smaller. The light is a gimmick as is the Smart technology. It leaks on whatever setting you use, so putting away your ironed clothes is impossible, unless you want mould growing on them. Considering how much I paid for this, I wish I had just kept my old model. And to top it all, I am unable to upload a photo because the link isn’t opening to allow camera access. I wish I’d paid more attention to the previous reviews.

This is our third steam generator iron. It is a beast, plus it has a light (don't knock it till you try it). Cuts ironing time in half, it's as if the clothes iron themselves! Excellent bit of kit. Highly recommended.
