Very good quality.
Perfect fit on my BMW X3. I have been very satisfied with Detroit Axle parts. This item was shipped out of a New Mexico location and arrived in Arizona about 2 days sooner than expected.

Impressive quality and even better value.
I'd never heard of Detroit Axle, but while shopping for new suspension components for my beater car (a 1996 Toyota Avalon), I found their fully-assembled struts sold in pairs for only slightly more than other brands wanted for just the strut cartridge themselves and decided to give them a try. To my absolute amazement, they look exactly like the OEM Toyota parts in every way, bolted right in effortlessly, and most importantly, ride just like OEM parts. I've already put nearly 1000 miles on them, and the value and quality continue to amaze me.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE at DETROIT AXLE
This company has LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE. I purchased these struts to put on my vehicle, which I did. The right-rear strut was defective; it bottomed out, making a loud banging noise at the rear of my car as I left my driveway! On the drive to work, the strut made the same noise. I was in city traffic, going the 35-45 mph limits. So, when I called Detroit Axle for a replacement, the customer service person said I need to get documentation from the mechanic, ME! The document had to detail everything that occurred during installation and provide any additional information. I told the person that I had just told you what happened, and, inevitably, the customer service person said I needed documentation for them. Then I was to call them back and tell them what was on the document. I asked whether you want to see the document. NOPE, you just read what it says. So, frustration set in! I returned the defective strut, included the documentation, my name, address, email & cell #. I doubt I will get a replacement anytime soon, if ever! What a way to run a business! I put the old strut back on, and all is well! DO NOT BUY anything from Detroit Axle! Both struts cost me $182.00. I have done business with Amazon since they opened, and this might be the straw that breaks the camelโs back!

Cheaper and Durable struts
So the struts themselves fit ,but my car unfortunately had some power steering fluid on the control arms and the struts. So when we got to replacing my oem struts we had to move around with removing the majority of the parts around the struts. You can't go wrong with these Detroit axle ones the money value on these are cheaper but we did have to find a way to line up the struts before putting them on. My opinion is based on the wear on your car etc you need to consider that it may be a bit difficult installing them as is. These struts are quite durable imo. If you do have the money for it I would suggest the oem struts for easier access. I plan on only having these on my car for about 6 months to 1 year tops.

Good so far
I put these on a 2014 Corolla S and so far they are doing well. The spring was slightly different it seemed as compared to the original, but the ride is good. They were simple to put on and the finish looks really nice on them. They came really well packaged and protected. You'll need to save the brackets and bolts for the speed sensor and brake line and put them on this one. It comes with the top mounting bolts. I also swapped over the rubber grommet that covers the center bolt in the mounting plate, as these didn't come with those. For the Corolla, you'll simply remove the cowl and windshield wipers assembly in order to access the top mounting bolts of the strut. I removed the tire, caliper and brake disc, one end of the sway bar link, and then was able to remove the two bolts holding the lower part of the strut to the steering knuckle. Then it's just a matter of wiggling out the old one, putting this one in place and reattaching everything.
