I am using it for protection from TCE, Hexane & Acetone used to thoroughly clean metal parts prior to painting or assembly. Sometimes you just have to hold a part with your hands and not set it down on something clean or use something to hold the part. That's where these come in handy. Most nearly all gloves I've used with the above chemicals, no matter how thick, allow some vapors to pass through the gloves and thus get to your hands. Not these! This is the same chemical composition that military gas masks are made of and it's the best substance for a glove that man has come up with so far to use in a glove to stop/slow these chemicals from reaching your body. As far as these gloves go, they are very well made (in USA) and are thick yet not overly large. They sure seem to do the trick! Price is a bit steep but like most things, you do get what you pay for. These are no exception! They couldn't be any better. My health is worth more than the cost of these gloves and they work well! They should last a very long time.

These gloves by far are the best for working with acetone.

Unfortunately, these only lasted about 2 weeks with very limited exposure to acetone (we’re talking about an amount enough to wet a 2”x2” folded piece of paper towel, exposed about 30-45 seconds each time for at most three times per day). The glove surface is now sticky, indicating that the material is breaking down.
