Great Brush Set! The REAL DEAL!
I took up painting a few years ago and quickly learned that, to get the best results, yuh gotta have the best equipment and materials... and that is especially true with brushes. These are the REAL DEAL... couldn't be more pleased! They don't call 'em mops for nothing! If we ever suffer a drought again in this part of the country, I can live for a month off the water these brushes hold! Now... if they just came with a guarantee that I'd be instantly able to paint like Joe Zbukvic... I think I'd sell the house and buy a truckload!

Great brushes!
I'd never used a mop brush before and these are fantastic for applying fast washes. The point helps to get around where I want to save my whites. I like them so much, I bought a second set so I have a set in my studio as well as my plein air kit.

Escoda Signature Series Artist Watercolor Brush Set, Joseph Zbukvic Set #2
Joseph Zbukvic is one of my favorite watercolor artists so had to get this set since he recommended it. Love it.

Best of both worlds
These hold a lot of paint and hold their points. They perform magnificently on the paper and give my strokes a lot of confidence. They are enabling tools, like extensions of me as the painter I have always wanted to be. I found some great youtube videos with Zbukvic explaining why he likes the brushes and showing how they are made, what the company is about. These are hard to find. I am lucky I got them. Worth every penny.

Excellent quality brushes
Excellent quality squirrel brushes! Well designed, feels good in the hand, and the shape of the hair is just exactly what you'd want in a squirrel brush. If you are lucky enough to be able to have these in your artist toolbox, you'll have lots of fun painting with them. They are a treasure made for working and playing. I highly recommend this set.

Excellent brushes. They hold a lot of water and I can get a very smooth wash. There is an occasional loose hair, but I am hopeful that will stop as I use them.

Nice and smooth.
Works like it should. Point is fine for a larger brush. Ferrel can be loose on some brushes. You have to try them to like them. Brushes are personal. Smooth application and spreads well for large application or wide dry brush swipes. $$$

Terrible quality
These are very poorly made, especially at nearly $100. Before I even used them, I stroked the size 14 bristles and the entire head fell out of the ferrule! Compared to my Isabey squirrel mops and my DaVinci sable brushes, these just feel cheap and don’t hold a point or an edge well.I’m very disappointed, but since I bought them about two years ago and am just now using them for the first time, I guess I’m stuck with them.
