Nice scent - good amount
This smells good. I mix it with some dry powdery dirt and Ms. Butters takes a nice dust bath. I haven’t noticed and mosquitos near her.

Hens fighting over this stuff!! They LOVE it!!
My hens LOVE this stuff. They fight over the dust bath they love it so much. It’s an extra plus that it makes them smell soooo good! I would give more stars if I could.

My chickens love this!!!
My chickens are obsessed with this! I bought this on a whim, thinking they’d never really care for it. A little sprinkle into their dust bath and my chicks are literally fighting over space. It’s a pretty big container that will last quite a while. Smell like essential oils.

I really like the smell of this but I am a first timer when it comes to raising hens. Apparently you’re supposed to start dust baths as chicks but only add preen after months. I’ve had week old fluffy chicks in the kiddie pool that has preen and no irritations. They’re happy and luckily learned not to “hunt” in the bath. I’ve put “dust” on them too still perfect. This is a first grader holding an Easter egger that’s about 3 weeks and the dust bath in the corner. No issues with our sensitive skin either

Great item but needs better care during shipping.
Good item, but very poor shipping job from Amazon. Shipped in kraft paper bag and was spilled everywhere upon receipt and only half full. Dust was all over other items in same shipment. Otherwise, the chickens love it and makes the coop smell much better.

we own 3 hens and they are more pets than farm animals to us. These are our 1st birds and gifted to us as baby chicks by a family member. As we learn more about them, we discovered that the dusting is very important part of their health. So looking into a dust bath additive the Preen Queen came highly recommended to us. It was pretty simple we just poured it into the area of their favorite spots blend it into the natural dirt and added some fire wood ash. The girls love it and their feathers look much drier and healthy. You can smell the citrusy sent when we pick them up too.
