Good choice to secure garden border.
The landscape stakes secured our garden border. Sturdiness and length worked as expected.

Strong, holds well, easy to drive into the ground
These were used for Christmas decorations, hooding down blowup figurines, as well as attaching LED strings of lights to each stake along the edge of the our property. Basically used these to outline the driveway and yard. I have tried the metal stakes and the thicker square stakes but this style is more durable and fewer of them broke. Used a rubber mallet to drive them into the ground in the winter and I was able to get them all the way almost flush with the ground. They were so stable that I could not remove several from the ground when taking down the decorations.

Not for rocky or really hard soil
If you're working with recently tilled or new soil these should work fine but for hard, and especially, rocky soil they can cause a lot of frustration.... especially when you're almost there and the head pops off. For rocky soil I'd recommend real nails such as long aluminum nails.
