I'm between a rating of 4 and 5 for these. Was looking for gift bags to hold a half pound of coffee that I roast as a hobby. These fill the bill, even though they are smaller than the previous half pound bags I'd been using. Just weighed a bag of beans - 9.3 ounces, with room to close the bag with the attached tin ties. They're lined, so coffee oils (or cookie oils) shouldn't leach through the bags. All very good. My hesitation is the very light weight of the paper, much lighter than the bags I'd been using. We'll see how they hold up. Hopefully the liner (which allowed the manufacturer to include the window, a nice touch in a product in this price range) will assist with structural integrity. I'll get some use out of them (first time using them is today), and upgrade my rating to a 5 if they prove sufficiently sturdy.

I use these window pane bags for cookie deliveries; a bag holds 8-9 medium sized chocolate chip cookies. Suggest a larger size for decorated sugar cookies. I usually put a “Baked with Love” sticker on the front. It is a convenient way of gifting.
