How many tops trousers would fit in each bag?

Can’t tell you an exact number as I didn’t count but I used a medium and small bag and I got all my holiday clothes incl towels.

Can the excess plastic be folded over? Looking to buy the medium bags for carry-on luggage. I believe there will be excess bag left.

Yes, I partially remove about half the air, then fold to the shape I want (If I can, I place in the actual luggage so any remains air sucks out to the right shape) and then remove the rest. I used them for travel as I only took carry on hand luggage and managed to do a 5 day Iceland trip, with just one small rucksack, containing pyjamas, undies, spare fleece, spare trousers, 2 x base layers, 2 hats/2 pr gloves and toiletries using one of these.

Do they still come with a hand pump?

If they do, the pump doesn’t last long mines already broke.
