Worked for My Computer
I have a Dell Inspiron 3880 that I purchased in 2021. It came with a 1TB HDD. I could have ordered it with an SSD as well as the HDD, but the only size they offered was a 256GB and they wanted too much for it. It always booted up slowly from day 1. Recently, I purchased a Samsung 970 EVO 2TB SSD here from Amazon at an amazing price and Man, does it ever boot fast, just 2 minutes compared to the 10 minutes from the HDD. But it fit in the M.2 slot at an angle because Dell didn't provide a riser. I was concerned that it wasn't getting enough airflow and would overheat. That's why I purchased this riser kit, and found a riser and screw combination that now has the SSD sitting straight and level. Since Dell has a proprietary motherboard, not just any riser would screw into the SSD hole. This kit had a variety of risers and screws so I was able to find the right combination to install the SSD properly and securely. I would recommend this kit to anyone who has a motherboard with non-standard screw points for an M.2 SSD.

some motherboards require these for M.2 drives
some mobos will not have the neccesary extension to secure the drive to the board,this fixed that issue
