We *love* this when we go camping. First off it’s the very first collapsible potty I’ve ever come across, and I was skeptical. But the dang thing is sturdy as heck. I’m not a small bodied human and I do not worry at all about this collapsing under my weight. It’s a really interesting interlocking design I’d never seen but is brilliant. Open it up, give it a quick twist as you pull up, and it locks into place just like that. The seat locks down to hold onto your potty bag, and the lid locks as well. We empty ours immediately after using so I don’t notice any smell at all. The ventilated design might have something to do with that. Even in a bathroom emergency this thing sets up so fast I’m not stressed at all. It slides easily into our camping kit when not in use because it collapses to like 2 inches tall. The only fully expected qualm is it’s a little small.

I was afraid to sit on this toilet because I was afraid it was going to accidentally come undone and collapse down to a couple of inches and leave me sitting in my own pee. I set it up and with the lid still on it, I sat down on it to see if it was going to come falling down. It didn't. I wiggled around a bit to see if I could make it collapse down (I was hanging onto the nearby sink just in case). It remained upright and felt sturdy. The only downside for me personally is that it is rather short. I have a fused spine and I wasn't sure I was going to be able to bend to sit and then get back up again because it is so low. I ended up putting it on a little wooden step and that is where I used it. It made it the exact height that I needed and was very easy to get up from. If you find the height lacking like I did, bring something to set it upon and it will be perfect. I also was afraid that the bags appeared to be too thin so I double bagged it with the bags that I use for my office trash can from Costco. It gave me more peace of mind. It never did leak and I just kept throwing away the inside bag while leaving the Costco bag on there. Oh, I also put a couple of paper towels in the bottom of the plastic bag just in case of leaking. I figured if it was going to leak, at least the paper towels inside would limit the amount of leakage. I was very happy with how small it folds down too. Well, I was once I got over the fear of it collapsing on me while I was sitting on it.

Seems pretty stable, I don't think it will collapse from sitting on it. It is kind of short/small in general so not the most comfortable toilet. It will work fine for camping, car emergencies, broken home plumbing etc.

Honestly, we bought this for camping, to use “just in case”. Well “just in case” happened and this product is worth every penny! Easy to set up, very sturdy (190# sitting with no issues) and surprisingly comfortable, and absolutely no leaks or smell with the included bags and absorbing powder. Clean up was super easy, just toss the bag, wipe down and store back in the included carry bag. This portable potty is perfect for camping, or traveling with small kids, or any where a real bathroom is not accessible. Throw some wipes in the bag as well and you are good to go!

I got this very specifically because I needed something like a commode, but commodes are clunky and I did not have the space to store something like that. I read the reviews very carefully and I gotta say, all the rave reviews are correct. The mechanism seems so easy, it's reminiscent of a toy, but it's so strong. It comfortably supports 200-ish pounds with no problem. So easy to use - just pop a bag in and snap the seat down, which holds the bag in place. Afterwards, toss the bag out and disinfect the seat. It comes with some bags that are rather thin, but even so, I haven't had any issues with leaks using those bags, and any medium size bags work also. Cleaning is easy as well. Since it is a solid plastic you can really use any cleaning solution you would normally use. On the go, disinfecting wipes work great. It's lightweight to carry around if needed and it's very compact when folded so it fits anywhere. I definitely recommend this to anyone who could use a portable toilet. It definitely worked great in place of a commode for me. Worth every penny.

It’s a great item to have for any event, recently my husband had an operation on his ankle and he w wasn’t able to get to the rest room so he was able to use this life saver potty.

If your over the hill like me, I would recommend the highest one available if you value your hips . Very lightweight but very Sturdy ,looks well made feels safe to sit on,

Great bit of kit for camping. Strong and simple to use. I have a portable chemical toilet for longer stays but for those overnight stops on the road then this is my goto for number 1s and 2s.
