FROGG TOGGS Chilly Sport Cooling Neck Wrap & Head Band

This is like a magic! You can put warm water on it and in a few minutes its cold to the touch. If it gets hot you just move it around and then it gets cold again. I have the blue and pink. As other reviews have mentioned my pink bleeds when I wash/rinse it everytime. It has not gotten on my clothes whole wearing it, bc they do not have to be super wet, but I would not wash with other items.

Summer baseball tournament approved. This thing is magical and so much better than any other cooling towel I’ve ever used. It was 101 outside, and somehow this towel kept my little cool! The material is super soft and retains water for a long time!

I first ordered something else before a friend recommended this one. Wow wow wow!! Night an day! I absolutely love this. I walk/hike 4-5 miles a day on the sun in Southern California hot and with this, it's no problem. There are a few tricks to happy use though: 1) Before first use: be sure to use mild detergent (I used my soap) and cool water to completely thoroughly wash this. It will let a lot of color out. 2) When you went it for use on longer endurance trips, be sure to not squeeze it out. I made the mistake the first time and squeezed it out as much as possible. That way it definitely won't get you wet, but it will start drying out (on the sun) within 30 minutes and in 1 hour it will be bone dry 3) When I say "bone dry" I mean it. The material gets extremely "hard dry" where I feel like it will break (it doesn't) if I bend it. Very interesting material 4) The instructions recommend you keep the towel in the little container it came in. I think that's impossible to do with reasonable human skills, so I use a sandwich ziploc bag, which is perfect. 5) Instead of keeping it moist between use, I keep it dry. This prevents anything nasty from growing on it if it can--not sure because of the unusual material 6) When properly wet, the material has an almost gummy feel to it. I am on a hunt now for the same thing as a head band--if such exists--and wrist bands. This is probably the best thing that could have happened to endurance sports in hot climate! Edit: I have had this now for nearly a year. I kept it in a zipped up plastic bag in my fanny pack and completely forgot about it until today, when the first really hot day hit. I took it out of the bag, it was still wet from my last use nearly a year ago, but I added a bit more water from my bottle and off I went hiking in the heat. If there was a chance to give more than 5 stars, I would! The product is indestructible, comfortable, and stays freezing cold for at least 1.5 hours on the blazing Southern California sun. Fantastic!

I bought 3 different Frogg Toggs. Chilly Pad Pro Sport 31x6, Chilly Pad 33x13 (2 Pack), and Chilly Sport Cooling Neck Wrap/Headband 33x6.5. Hands down, every one needs to own a Chilly Pad 33x13. When you take it out of the package, it stinks and you think you've made a huge mistake! You need to wash it in a mild detergent in the sink. It takes 2 minutes. Wring it out and you'll be shocked at how cool it is. The package says it is 30 degrees cooler than your body temp and the cooling lasts for about 2 hours. When it starts no longer working - wet it, wring it, and put it on your neck again. You're good to go for another 2 hours. The other towels in the Frogg Toggs family work, but not as well as the Chilly Pad.

I’ll work out in the heat as a propane technician and this is the best thing I’ve ever used for beating the heat besides water obviously but who needs water when you can just pour it onto your frog togg and cool your body

I bought this for my husband. He can wear it about 20 min and then it is hot again. Wouldn't buy again.

Even ember loves my cooling neck wrap after a tough lesson in the heat. I actually can not say enough about this product it you ride you need one.

I need to preface my review by saying I live in a very hot, very dry climate, so if you have high humidity, your experience with this product may be completely different than mine. I walked into a doctor's office recently wearing a nice pink maxi dress and my pink Frogg Togg scarf around my neck, tucked nicely into my pink cami sport bra. I got wonderful compliments on it and when I whispered to the ladies "it's actually a hot flash scarf, feel how cold it is", they flipped out! Everyone wanted the info on it. I still get compliments on my "outfit" from strangers who have no idea it's a damp sports towel. You do have to fuss with it a bit to make it look "chic" though, haha. It's thick and rubbery and has a funky texture on one side. It has saved me from hot flashes and most recently, a near-fainting spell from the heat when I ran an errand in triple digit weather last week. It feels nice and cold on the nape of my neck, and if I tuck it down into my bra it helps cool me considerably. It also feels good on the legs and arms. If you are not concerned about looks, I'd buy an additional Frogg Togg in a larger size... much more cooling effect, but those do look like towels stuffed in your shirt. These wash nicely in the washing machine. Don't put them in the dryer. The instructions say you can use chlorine bleach but the color may fade. I haven't had the need to try. The directions say to keep them in the fridge in their original container, dampened, but if you aren't going to use them within a week I'd hang it up every time to dry because my larger one got little black mildew spots on it. Machine washing took the smell right out even though the spots remained, so I pulled my other ones out of the fridge and washed them. In conclusion, I like the "scarf style" very much for looks and cooling. If you need real cooling, you need to get the bigger one.
