This stuff worked great! It was incredibly easy to apply! I used a rubber pig nose prosthetic. The remover worked great too. I will say my nose did start to come off at points of the night but that could have been due to user error. I washed my face before and after using the spirit gum and there was no residue after the fact.

Came way before I expected and its very helpful for cosplay! It was quite easy to use for a beginner too. You just wait for it to get tacky and then stick things to it! Most of everything stayed on all night.

I purchased this to attach a mustache and beard for being a pirate at my church's vacation Bible school program this summer. If you applied the glue liberally, it looked very real. My face burned a little for a few minutes after applying the glue, especially right after shaving. But after a few minutes it didn't bother me. So I would put it on at 8:00AM each day, go to practice and then do a skit at 9:00AM. I walked around with the kids and by about 10:15AM, I needed to do some reglueing. There was a second skit at 11:30AM until noon. If I smiled a lot, the mustache would come unglued sooner. If I ate any food, the beard would also begin to come off. So, I learned to just smile moderately and eat nothing until I removed them after noon. I used about half the glue bottle doing five days of skits and one evening. I did not need the glue remover to take off the mustache and beard. Once the glue dried, any glue residue came off my face with a wet wash cloth. And it could be scraped off the back of the mustache and beard before the next application with a fingernail. Once or twice I used the remover to help disolve some of the glue from the back, but normally I didn't need it. I would recommend this for most basic jobs. I was really happy that it came off so nicely without leaving much residue on my face.

Worked well with holding on Shrek's nose for the school performance. It didnt work well on top of makeup and i noticed it held better when i went over his skin with an alcohol wipe first (just the area i was applying the glue) and it held pretty well for the entire play. It came off easy too using the remover. I was able to use the same nose for 3 nights which was great.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Pretty fantastic product. You really need to be patient and let it get sticky before you put it on. At first I wasn't super patient...it kept sliding down my face...so I laid down on a bed and just put some pressure on the silicone pieces...it took a few minutes...But it will stay on all night. I don't think it had a smell to it. It didn't irritate my skin. I feel like it was well worth the money! Warning: if you spill the remover...it will take off a layer of top coat on wood surfaces. :|

Note: not all spirit gum is the same. Mehron Spirit Gum is the "classic" and that means it drys with a bit of a sheen. Not a huge issue if you're careful to apply it properly so excess gum isn't visible. There are matte versions of gum - so know what you need for your application. But, my real "issue" with this product and why I'm only giving this 3 stars, is the size of the bottle and brush. The brush is tiny - it would take you weeks to apply enough gum to a large area such as a full face beard. I end up pouring the gum into a small shot glass size cup then using a large makeup brush to apply the gum. Doing so means I waist more gum with it getting soaked up into the large brush and that leaves very little gum for the application - so know your application and how many times you'll need to apply it or you may find this tiny bottle is just too tiny for your need. As for the remover...same issue, the bottle is tiny. I purchase a 32oz bottle of 90% isopropyl alcohol from my local drug store and dump it on liberally to a cotton cloth then wet the beard down as I slowly remove it from my face. Bottom line, know your need - you may find purchasing a larger quantity a better value and offers you more peace of mind so you don’t run short in a critical moment.

What fantastic glue. I only had to reapply once on beard during four hours Of playing Santa eyes brows stayed the entire time. And the glue removal was a life saver afterwards.

Let me start off by saying I'm a cosplayer and Mehron products have always been dependable. I can pretty regularly blindly buy something and trust that it's going to work. Spirit Gum is no exception to that rule; I know a lot of people express having trouble with it, but application technique goes a long way! My advice is to make sure you clean the area first with an alcohol wipe (make sure your hands are clean, too). Then use the applicator to apply and spread the Spirit Gum on the desired area and give it a little bit of time to partially dry. Next, take your finger and lightly dab it, just enough to warm the product up and make it tacky and just lightly enough that you don't smear or remove the product. Then it's ready to stick! Most recently, I've used this product to stick an LED on my face for a Detroit: Become Human cosplay, and it stayed on for the entire convention, through heat and sweat. It also came off nice and easy with the spirit gum remover! I have sensitive skin, so I will note that the spirit gum makes my skin a bit red after application. However, I do not experience burning or breakouts after, which is HUGE because there are a lot of products I can't use due to my sensitivities! I also want to point out that the small bottle is the perfect size to pocket and keep on you during conventions while cosplaying for quick emergency fixes.

Unfortunately it is not vegan as it contains shellac. The seller should have included the list of ingredients in one of teh pictures or in the description of the item.

Würde den Kleber liebend gerne testen aber versuche das Fläschchen seit Ankunft verzweifelt, ohne Erfolg, zu öffnen. Weder starke Männer, noch eine Zange konnten das Fläschchen öffnen.(Produktionsfehler?) Sehr frustrierend.. oder gibt es da eine spezielle Technik und ich bin zu doof?

Great prosthetic glue! just be careful when you clean-up, residue can get on your hands and become annoying to clean off

Pathetic

Used this to stick a mask to my face for a whole day at comic con. Worked perfectly. Held on very well but was easy to quickly unstick in an emergency, (Had issue with contact lenses). The size is perfect to keep in my bag to reapply glue when needed. It didn't even take any of my eyebrows off! :) Perfect for what I wanted! (Remember to tap the glue until it is sticky before applying, then it will stick immediatly :) )
