Great picture and sound
With today's technology, I'm always very worried to order anything "smart". I am not very good at figuring out technology. As a matter of fact, it scares me lol. I just wanted a TV that has an excellent picture and excellent sound quality. I just use my TV to watch movies, stream shows and watch regular TV. I don't use it for video games or to broadcast from my computer to the TV screen. That said, I also needed a big enough TV screen to fit the large wall in our great room. I heard very good things about the Sony brand, so I took a chance and ordered this one. Several people commented that they wish it wasn't tied to Google, but honestly, I think Google makes technology pretty easy for us non-techies. Even though it's large, I don't think it weighs a ton. My son and I (I'm only 5'1" and weigh 135 lbs. and have no muscle) were able to easily lift it onto the TV mount we bought without really straining. Once on the wall, it was easy to turn it on and get it all set up for use. I was able to find all the streaming services I use as well as the live, local channels. I LOVE the "continue watching" area that shows up. It brings up what I was watching on my streaming services, so I don't have to find the streaming service, click on it and then go into the service to find my show. The picture quality is excellent and so is the sound. I have another name brand TV at our summer home and the sound is awful. I have to have it turned up so loud, just to hear it in a normal tone. I'm not one to be picky about bass, treble, balance, etc., but this Sony TV's sound must have that all figured out as it sounds really good. I've had it for about a month and a half now and I've only had one small issue with it. Not sure why, but the screen completely froze on me, and I couldn't use the remote for any function. I couldn't even turn the TV off with the remote. I unplugged the TV from the outlet, left it for a couple minutes, plugged it back in and it fixed the issue. I haven't had the problem since, so I'm just chalking it up to sometimes things like that happen with technology. If you're looking for a techie's opinion of this TV, you're not going to get it here. If you're like me, and are just interested in picture quality, sound and ease of use, I highly recommend this TV!

This is a Fabulous TV with a Brilliant Gorgeous Picture and Excellent sound!
This is our second Sony 65 inch Smart TV with Dolby. First of all, as usual Amazon does not disappoint with free delivery and set up which required carrying up steep flight of stairs in our California beach house. The crew could not have been nicer and actually moved a heavy coffee table to set the TV on. They carefully unwrapped the TV and put the packing back in so we could use again. The TV has brilliant colors, easily connected to the WIFI and the color quality is unsurpassed. We are very happy with the 65 inch size. We contemplated a larger but this would have blocked our window and Ocean views. The remote is a good size with buttons for YouTube, Netflix, Disney and of course Prime. The sound quality is fantastic. We enjoyed our Christmas and holiday movies; Christmas Vacation, Charlie Brown, it's a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and the classics; It's a Wonderful Life. I highly recommend this beautiful set. You will not be disappointed!

Outstanding Value for Price
I recently purchased two Sony 65" TVs and was so impressed by their value for the price that I decided to upgrade one to a 75" model. The decision to upgrade was easy, given the exceptional price-to-value ratio these TVs offer. From the moment I turned them on, the quality of both the image and sound was evident. The picture quality is crisp and vibrant, making for an immersive viewing experience whether I'm watching movies, sports, or streaming content. The sound quality is equally impressive, with clear, rich audio that fills the room without the need for an external sound system. What truly sets these Sony TVs apart is their excellent price-value proposition. In an era where high-quality TVs can come with a hefty price tag, Sony has managed to offer top-notch quality at a very reasonable price. This aspect alone makes it a highly recommendable choice for anyone looking to enhance their home entertainment setup without breaking the bank.

I like it
The picture is great and it connected seamlessly to the wifi, after setup it was easy to add a few apps like hulu, peacock…etc…I watch a variety of programming and everything looks better on a quality 85” tv…movies, news, gaming, it’s just better. I paid over 3 thousand about 15 yrs ago for a 63” sony… this is clearly a better deal…I don’t always watch television but…..ok I watch a lot of tv…watching the nba playoffs right now…great picture, better than being at the game and the beers much cheaper here..love this tv, from my 6am-7ish utube work outs then on to sports talk shows, then evening shows and weekend sports, watched nascar, elliot lost…..did I say great enough?, great tv, great price…. I don’t recommend setting it up yourself..I had inside delivery but they didn’t set it up.. if I was just putting it on a table using the supplied legs ithink I could have done it by myself but I hung mine. It was just me and the wife and we were able to hang it on the separate mounting bracket we purchased and it looks great….great, great, great…when hanging it up its really awkward and you feel uncomfortable about damaging it, we were really careful but you will probably need help…luck

Can't change Aspect Ratio, No Screen Mirroring
Update after several months. Absolutely love this set in every way EXCEPT that the aspect ratio can not be adjusted. If you dislike being forced to watch a video in letterbox format with a third of the screen filled with two black stripes above and below the image, you will hate this TV. This SONY does not allow you the option to fill the 16 X 9 screen as other TV's allow I own several Sony TVs because they have been trouble-free with excellent images. This particular set is outstanding. There has been such incredible progress in flat screens. The set arrived well packaged with clear and precise unpacking instructions. It was delivered by two very friendly and helpful Amazon employees who handled it carefully and kept the correct side up. When you attach the legs to the set, be sure to lie the set flat on a table covered with a clean cloth. It's the easiest way and is recommended in the instructions. There is no plastic protective cover over the screen, so don't try to peel it off. Keep the packing material around the screen on until you have the legs on and have placed the TV exactly where you want it. Then remove the protection. This helps to avoid any potential damage to the screen via fingerprints or pressure. The unit almost set itself up once it was turned on. As someone who has Google devices and the Google home app, this TV is an absolute dream. Everything will work via voice commands to the TV or one of your Google devices. Your Google photos can stream on the set when it is in idle mode. Someone who lives in the Apple world would have to comment on how easily the set works with Apple devices. The picture is razor sharp. The built-in sound system is decent with some kind of woofer chambers that route sound similar to a Bose system. It will self-adjust to the acoustics of the room you are in. However, I connected to an existing Sony soundbar and subwoofer with surround sound for a more immersive experience. If you have a sound bar, connect any other devices like a DVD player to the HDMI port on the TV so that everything can be easily controlled versus connecting them to the soundbar. Use an Arc HDMI cord to connect the soundbar to the TV. The unit pulled in 30 broadcast stations clearly with a tiny antenna next to the TV. Make sure that your Wi-Fi connection is sufficient to power this 4K television properly. You should have at least 15 to 20 megabits per second download speed. More is better if you have a home with several devices connected to your Wi-Fi router. Some other things to consider: if you have Netflix, you must upgrade to get 4k content. It's a few dollars more a month and worth it. If you have subscribed to streaming services through the Roku channel, they may not work properly on this TV if you want to access them through the TV itself. You may need a direct subscription to a streaming service like Paramount Plus versus streaming it through the Roku channel. It's not a big deal to change that. We have several ROKU units connected to televisions in our house. ROKU has done a magnificent job of keeping things simple and allowing customization to just see the channels that you want. In the past, accessing streaming content via televisions was sometimes cumbersome and slow. With this particular set, there is no lag time. Connections are incredibly fast. Customization of favorites and what you want to see or don't is very straightforward. Everything is as good and as fast as via a ROKU unit. The 4K picture is so superior to standard HD that you will easily see the difference. Brighter images, darker blacks and color saturation that looks more authentic. What you get for the price paid now is an incredible bargain regardless of the screen size you select. We purchased a Sony HD set with a cathode ray tube many years ago and it cost nearly $3,000. Now you can purchase a far larger screen, with far better definition, more content and a very easy to operate interface for a fraction of that price. What a miracle of human creativity and competition! Lastly, the remote control for this television is a gem. Very few buttons. Very intuitive. Very clean. Voice commands for many things if you want to use them. And best of all, it is an RF remote so you don't have to point it at the TV all the time as with an IR remote. It would work in your pocket. Possible Improvements: User ability to change the aspect ratio is a must. I don't like watching letterbox formats with duplex streaks across the top and bottom of the screen. With this set you are unable to fill your screen with wide screen selections. This set does not come with screen mirroring as Sony TVs having the past. It's a real pain in the neck streaming from an Android phone versus the simplicity of screen mirroring. An earphone jack on the remote like Roku offers so you can listen via headphones and not disturb others if necessary. There's a phone jack on the TV, but who wants to deal with that long cord when listening in private? Overall, fairly well done, SONY.

Perfect!
What can I say? It’s a SONY, right? Each new generation of SONYS that we acquire in life’s journeys is a progressive step forward, from the advent of the Trinitron tube to the flat screen wonder of the WEGA, we’ve always appreciated the dramatic steps forward. This flat screen is so dramatically advanced, it’s scary. Now if there were only something decent to view on. The setup was streamlined, especially since we use YOUTUBE TV, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are flawless-no wires except for power. The internal sound is outstanding, but we use Klipsch Nines for our sound system and it’s more than gratifying. The family agrees that the most dramatic viewing of this is with the Radio Paradise app, which runs HD photos relevant to the songs playing. In this context, it is jaw-dropping, and integrated with the Klipsch sound system, offers endless hours of breathtaking music and visuals. The downside to high-definition TV, of course, is clearly seeing all detail, warts and all, you may view your favorite stars quite differently. For them, I’m sure this technology is indeed humbling. At 65 inches, we now eschew the smaller theater venues for better resolution and sound at home. I’m sure that should Hollywood and the rest of the universe actually produce something monumental, played on a HUGE scale or large venue, we’ll still probably go, but it’s a HUGE asset to relax at home. We did hit a few big box stores to look at competitive brands, but SAMSUNG is the only brand who comes close to SONY’s grip on visual quality-they get it. As a HUGE fan of cinema since childhood, it amazes me that just about anyone can afford a very satisfying home theater experience.

Best TV Purchase in Over 50 Years
Life long SONY TV owner. Wasn't looking to buy an 85", but when the price dropped to $999, and I realized the 85" was 120Hz refresh rate, it was time to hang a movie screen in the family room. All other X80K TVs were 60Hz and I had decided the next TV was going to be 120Hz. $999 made me look, even though I expected to see a 60Hz. Delivery took about 6 weeks and it got to the point that I really thought the order was going to be canceled. But it came, brand new and unopened. Officially the best television purchase over my TV purchasing history of 50 years, price and quality. May be the last TV I ever buy.

Numerious dead or stuck pixels with aweful pixel policy
03/31/2023 I purchased this TV thinking it was a good price on Amazon. Which it is a great TV, I would absolutely love it if I didn't have these issues with my purchase. After I got this set up and powered it on, I immediately noticed that there was a bright green stuck pixel. This is dead smack on the top portion. For a second I thought it was an indicator light from some sort of webcam but upon inspection and some setting flipping is was just a really bright stuck pixel. I proceeded to try some video based remedies to stimulate the display, maybe unstick the bright green one. This is when I began to find numerous dead pixels, pixels that would not light up. I was really disappointed to learn this as, like I said, great looking and smooth running TV otherwise. I got a price that isn't available at the time of writing, so I tried to resolve this with Sony over opting to return it to Amazon. It was at this point I started to engage with Sony support. It proved quite difficult as I got disconnected numerous times never being able to arrive at the conclusion of a work order and successfully provide the information for a work order. Sony stipulated that dead and stuck pixels are part of the design process and considered normal operation for LCD screens. Which I am blown away by. I can understand one, maybe two, but not upwards of four. Not to say there aren't any other manufactures I have heard this from, but this was a first. Most computer monitor and TVs that have had warranty protection would have worked to resolve it with me. I guess I am going to ultimately return it considering how difficult its been to get a like new TV from this purchase. Not saying don't buy the TV, but that pixel policy should concern you. UPDATE 4/21. I am upping my rating to four stars. While my experience isn't Ideal, someone reached out to me via telephone call from Sony and finally got the ball running. Customer service was excellent from this point on. After some troubleshooting and testing with images and videos, they approved a replacement TV. They even covered the cost of having it professional hung again. The warranty works apparently. It was a lot of trouble but ended with the best possible result. Thank you. Update 4/27 I have to revise my review back down. Shorty after receiving the replacement and writing the above on the 21st. I noticed that there was multiple small bruise/dirt like like spots on the screen. When my kids would watch cartoons it looks like someone splattered some drink on it. But this defect/damage is not on the surface of the screen. Its like its under the screen. I was told by Sony. That their senior engineer team reviewed my case and that the grayscale test showed it was within operating parameters. There was no grayscale test conducted. I only sent a single white image of the spots. So I don't know how they are determining that "My TV is operating within manufacture expectations". I am forced to go through the trouble of uninstalling/installing a 100lb TV a 3rd time because Sony can't seem to deliver a TV in new condition for my new TV purchase. I don't feel it is unreasonable to expect a New TV purchase to be in actually new condition. But this is not an expectation Sony was able to meet. Never buying this brand again.

Excepcional. Definitivamente una Sony.
Imagen nítida con brillo y contraste excepcionales. Definitivamente una Sony. Llevo 3 años de uso, alrededor de 10 horas diarias y la pantalla sigue como cuando nueva.

Stunning Product - Value of Money
Sony has always been the best in terms of a TV screen and the price point for this TV compared to its quality is amazing. Give out great 4K video and has Dolby Vision inbuilt into it. Loving it since I’ve gotten it. Size is perfect and the stands hold the weight well. The remote is user friendly. All picture modes have visible difference and can be adjusted as per your liking. 10/10 would recommend.
