Velocity Side Clic Mechanical Pencils, Medium Point, 4-Count, 0.7mm

I love these my favorite part is that with a press of the little button brings down the lead. I will continue ordering.

They came with extra lead and erasers. Feels good in your hand and you can press down hard without the lead breaking, which is usually a problem with me. Nice bold line. The lead advancer is on the side where your fingers hold the pencil, so convenient to advance when needed. Only thing is it seems like it goes through lead pretty quickly. Would definitely buy again.

This 4 pack came with refills for the lead and extra erasers. At first, the eraser just smeared the lead and made a mess, but it must have just needed to be used a little because now it erases fully without smearing. I haven't had issues with the lead breaking, as some other reviews have noted. Comfortable grip and smooth writing. Now that the erasers are working, these are perfect.

These are actually 0.5 mm BIC Velocity "Side Clic" mechanical pencils (as shown in the images), not ballpoint pens. Fortunately, that is what I was looking for. I stumbled across the 0.7 mm version of these and went looking for the 0.5 mm version because I liked the side click mechanism, but I almost didn't find them because of the title of the listing, which, as I write this, starts with "BIC Soft Feel Blue Retractable Ballpoint Pens." If you're looking for the pens, look elsewhere, but if you are looking for the pencils, you're in the right place. I ordered some and I can confirm I got mechanical pencils, not pens.

Vibrant and gorgeous colors (I love colors). It’s very smooth and the side click is also very smooth. The grip is kind of silicone feel and gives much comfort. The body is transparent and hence we can see if the lead is running out and if needs a refill. I didn’t notice that the refill tube contains lead AND eraser refills which was a great surprise. I always run out of erasers on mechanical pencils quick and had to run around to find refill that fit. So a big thank you to BIC. It’s 0.7mm and I do prefer it over .5 (too narrow) and .9 (too wide). Hope the durability is good; will come back and update my review if any issues. Overall I do recommend it.

BIC continues to provide quality products at affordable prices. These are particularly great pencils because of the grip which makes it easier to complete assignments with ease.

I was originally searching for erasers for the other BIC pencils I use at work - auditor/accountant - and when I discovered they did not sell the erasers separately I noticed these. I have not had a side click mechanical pencil in years and much prefer them so that when I erase I don't inadvertently advance the lead or let the lead fall back into the pencil - only happens occasionally. I received a package of extra lead, 5 new erasers, and 4 pencils. I like that I received 4 colors, so I have loaded the blue with blue pencil lead, the red with red pencil lead and the green with green pencil lead so I can color-code my work. I ordered these late Friday and received them on Sunday at 734 am!

Great product and as described.

My use is very unusual: One of the difficulties in soldering PCB components is the precise positioning of solder wire. Loading the pen with 0.7mm solder wire allows precision application and the side action click ensures continuous smooth delivery.

I write 30 page exams with strict time limits so I have to write fast. This pencil is probably the only reason I’m able to finish my exams. If you run out of lead you don’t have to go all the way to the top of the pencil to get more, you just push as you’re writing I LOVE IT

I bought these because they are my favourite style of mechanical pencil. I love having the button on the side, as it makes it quicker and easier to use. I bought 2 packs of these because I like them so much! The only downside is that they are a bit of a pain in the butt to refill, unfortunately.
