I Have a few Sonos products already for my home, so when I was looking for a bluetooth speaker, this was a no brainer! Sonos has great build quality and minimalistic design which I like, and they are reliable. My existing system of Beam, and 4 Sonos one speakers is 3 - 4 years old and has been faultless. My main reason for purchasing a bluetooth speaker was because I had recently bought a Sony bluetooth turntable to play vinyls on and I needed to upgrade my existing BT speaker. The Roam SL connects quickly and plays wirelessly from the turntable, but the best is yet to come. With the Sonos app, I am able to create a group with my other speakers, so now I can play my vinyls wirelessly throughout my house!! This was a huge selling point for me and it works perfectly. The roam is also great to pick up and take with you if you are in the garden and connects to my phone just fine. As I mentioned, build quality is good. I put this rather precariously on the table and forgot about it, and with the music on it must have vibrated slightly and dropped about 3 foot onto my dining room floor. Happy to say there is no damage and the speaker still sounds great! Downsides are that the volume is limited and the battery life isn't very long. Charging is via USB C and a short cable is provided, but without a plug adaptor.

I’m a huge fan of Sonos and frankly I didn’t have much in the way of expectations for this speaker, owning the Sonos Move already had me believing that something like this didn’t really have a place in my setup. However, I needed something a bit more portable and easily packed into a day bag while going on holiday, and this was ideal! Much to my surprise it was a much more capable little speaker than I had thought it would be, setup is easy enough but I’d recommend doing that before leaving the house and you can still connect to your existing Sonos network if you already have one. Punchy bass and the mids are great. Back from holiday and the speaker has a permanent spot in my bathroom, charge lasts for quite a while if you use it simply to listen to music or podcasts in the shower, you’ll get a days battery out of it if using it continuously though.

Great sound quality

First things first. Astonishing sonic performance from a unit so small. Superb with speech on streaming video and equally at home with music: crisp, clear and nuanced sound. I have deducted a star because it is not intuitive to set up with a paucity of instructions. The app is poorly designed and the physical buttons are tricky to see and use. Overall though a great speaker, even if there are cheaper alternatives out there.

Superb quality, very easy to set up with the Sonos app sound quality is brilliant with plenty of bass Is portable so easy to use in the garden etc can be charged easily .I always take it away on holiday with me. It tells you when it’s ready to sync using Bluetooth found my my iPad virtually instantly .just the normai excellent standard you come to expect from Sonos.

Bought as a Bluetooth speaker, it is not. It is a Sonos Wi-Fi speaker that can be used on Bluetooth. Requires setting up on Wi-Fi to enable Bluetooth. Once working, it emits very loud ‘tones’ when turning on, off or changing mode, much louder than the music will play, theses cannot be dessables or reduced in volume relative to the music. After using at home with iPhone ok, went to friends house, where my phone connects to their WiFi, could not connect phone to Sonos Roam, I suspect it was trying to access the friends Wi-Fi. Could not connect via app, so gave up. Worked ok when I got home. I plan to use this traveling where I will be connected to various Wi-Fi networks, my experience is that it cannot be trusted in an unknown environment.

Ich war auf der Suche nach einem kompakten, stylischen und trotzdem klangstarken Bluetooth-Lautsprecher – und der Sonos Roam SL in Weiß hat meine Erwartungen sogar übertroffen. Design & Verarbeitung: Das minimalistische, matte Weiß sieht richtig edel aus und passt perfekt zu moderner Einrichtung. Der Lautsprecher ist kompakt, leicht und robust – ideal für unterwegs. Die Verarbeitung ist, wie man es von Sonos kennt, absolut hochwertig. Das Gerät wirkt stabil, liegt gut in der Hand und ist nach IP67 wasserdicht – also auch outdoor-tauglich. Klangqualität: Hier spielt der Roam SL ganz oben mit. Trotz seiner Größe liefert er einen überraschend satten, klaren Sound mit ausgewogenem Bass und brillanten Höhen. Egal ob Podcast, Klassik, Elektro oder Hip-Hop – der Klang bleibt präzise und sauber, auch bei höherer Lautstärke. Besonders beeindruckend ist die automatische Trueplay-Anpassung, die je nach Raum oder Umgebung den Klang optimiert – ganz ohne Aufwand. Bedienung & Konnektivität: Die Einrichtung über die Sonos App geht schnell und unkompliziert. Danach kann man den Lautsprecher per Bluetooth oder WLAN nutzen. Super praktisch: Im WLAN-Modus lässt sich der Roam SL in ein bestehendes Sonos-System integrieren – perfekt für Multiroom-Nutzung. Bluetooth funktioniert unterwegs einwandfrei und mit stabilem Empfang. Akkulaufzeit: Die Akkulaufzeit ist mit bis zu 10 Stunden absolut ausreichend für Ausflüge oder einen Tag am See. Auch im Alltag muss ich nur alle paar Tage laden. Über USB-C oder kabellos per Qi-Ladepad geht das schnell und bequem. Fazit: Der Sonos Roam SL ist ein echtes Klangwunder im Mini-Format. Ob zuhause im Wohnzimmer oder unterwegs im Park – der Lautsprecher liefert überall starke Performance, sieht toll aus und ist kinderleicht zu bedienen. Wer auf Sprachsteuerung verzichten kann (dafür steht das “SL”), bekommt hier richtig viel Qualität fürs Geld. Ganz klar: 5 von 5 Sternen – stylisch, mobil und klanglich ganz groß!

Ottima compagna per qualsiasi necessità, portarla in giro in barca, in spiaggia, in giardino, piscina ovunque, è veramente compatta e la qualità sonora per la sua dimensione è eccezionale per qualsiasi utente medio che non cerchi la qualità eccezionale e perfetta su qualsiasi lunghezza d'onda che possono avere sistemi da mila euro.. o audiofili che stanno a sindacare la qualità degli alti a xx hz o dei bassi etc etc...ricerca che mi sembra abbastanza fuoriluogo in questo caso. Forse il prezzo non è proprio alla mano ma sappiamo che si paga un sovraprezzo per la marca e ci sta, o meglio, la nostra società e l'economia ci dice cosi e l'ecosistema sonos (se avete altre roam roamsl one etc..) è imparagonabile. Ne ho prese 2 e ho altre sono play 1 e 3 a casa, potete accopiarle tutte insieme, potete anche accopiare solo le roamsl via bluetooth anche senza app sonos, potete utilizzarle come speaker del pc (stereo volendo se ne avete due) connetterle al vostro sistema home google o alexa, insomma praticamente un pò di tutto. Una 20 di euro in meno sarebbe stato il loro prezzo secondo me ma poco male. Consiglio a mani basse. P.S se cercate solo una cassa da usare random per qualche uscita ce ne sono svariate sulla 50 di euro che potrebbero fare al caso vostro, se siete un pò più esigente e pensate di epsandere un eventuale sistema..beh allora andate ad occhi chiusi con sonos.
