Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

As part of author Ian Fleming's negotiations to give rights to his James Bond movies to producer Cubby Broccoli, he required Broccoli to also make his children's book, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang into a movie too. Broccoli agreed and then generously used a big-budget big-movie approach to create an absolutely marvelous movie enjoyable by children of all ages. Many of the regular people in the Bond movies participated, both behind the scenes, and in front of the camera too - Gert Frobe, for example, and did you also spot the original Q?Great actors, great story-line, wonderful sets and filming, lovely songs, and a generally feel-good story.I'd give it six starts if I could.

Since others have written excellent reviews of this movie, I'll just say even as an adult, I LOVE this movie as much as when I was a kid!!!I've had multiple copies of the regular DVD version of this and every one of them has had problems. Right out of the brand new box with no scratches, they skipped and had chapters that wouldn't play at all! Highly irritating as you'd imagine!!!This Blu-ray version played flawlessly! Finally I can enjoy one of my all time favorite movies without interruptions!!!!!!!!

Seeing the movie in high definition really rejuvenates this film. A classic for all ages. The interview with Dick Van Dyke is very informative and has interesting behind the scenes info as well.

Dick van dyke is brilliant in this film and it is one of best performances outside of his roll in Mary Poppins. Both Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang, and Mary Poppins Dick van dyke shines and if there fans of his out there I highly recommend both films.

This is a family classic that should be in every nostalgic home.

The seller got the movie to me really quickly . This movie has been a favorite since childhood and the blu-ray was amazing looking on a big screen . I would use the seller again .

I thought Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was mediocre when it was released in the 60’s, following on the heels of Mary Poppins. But watching it with my adult siblings at Christmas 2021, it hit all the right buttons of enjoyment and actually morphed into a pleasant classic. Sally Ann Howes is acceptable in a role seemingly tailored for Julie Andrews, and Dick Van Dyke was spared having to use an atrocious British accent.

I bought this movie for my great grandson. My kids/grandkids all loved it as well. Now it's my 10 month old grand son's favorite movie. It a great old movie. I'm glad you have it av saw available.

Those movies are never forgotten. This one is print in my memory because it is magnificent and spectacular. It is colorful, imaginative, original and so... sweet !There was two of that genre that were released in 1968 : Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Warfield Productions, distributed by United Artists) and Oliver (Romulus Films, distributed by Columbia Pictures). Both of them were musicals, both of them were pure enchantment. It was a Golden Era for Hollywood producers and distributors at the time. From a movie to another you could experienced something completely different, something with its own specific signature. Those are the unforgettable classics.Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a must in a family collection movies. It’s fun entertainment, and although it carries many important values, the emphasis is on the power of imagination, the determination and the belief in oneself.After navigating from a copy to another copy of a movie and another, it is truly refreshing to come back at the time were the willingness to make one’s mark was the priority of all studios. That classic is on my shelves now and I’m dying to see the day where my grandson will be old enough to watch it, with me.

It is a cute story, great actors and fun for everyone

While it may be a bit more sugar than some might be able to take there is great adventure, fun songs, positive messages and even a little naughty humor for the adults. Even my teenage daughter who is too grown up for "kids movies" can't keep from smiling during some of the songs and will grab an arm during the creepy child catcher scenes.The blue ray transfer is exceptional in video and audio for the most part. The only scenes that were disappointing were the "blue screen" backgrounds for the flying scenes - they need to be softened so it's not so apparent.

Ordered this as a present for a notoriously difficult to shop for relative, this is his favourite movie. When he opened this he was pleasantly surprised and happy, he made a triumphant AHA sound and later that afternoon watched it and it seems like it might have been the highlight of his day. It’s great to upgrade old favourites with better quality resolution like this blu Ray dvd!

Great movie! Loved it as a kid and now showing my kids who also loved it.
