It Actually Works! No Water or Goo Required!
Iโve spent three to $400 getting every kind of ant moat dish, bowl and tray you can imagine. I have a massive ant problem and always have. I purchased the one that you have to put water in, but as soon as the water dries up from the hundred plus degree heat for months in the desert, the ants start climbing on top of it. Thatโs when I realize thereโs no more water left. The small bowls you put a tiny bit of water in are pointless! The food gets in that crack and the ants climb right over it into the bowl and the water dries up fast. I bought the other one that you have to put kind of like a Vaseline on the legs and itโs very messy. And when debris gets stuck on the Vaseline, the ants can climb right over it. This one is much smaller and I wish they would make a rectangle one with a lip on it for fitting two bowls. Even put a lip on this one and make larger sizes. But this thing is genius. I thought, how could it possibly work but it tricks the ants when they go up inside it and I guess they are in kind of a maze and eventually have to come back out because they canโt get to the top. No water. No goo. Sure itโs a little pricey but so were the other ones and it works. Thatโs honestly all I care about. Itโs a one time purchase and Iโm done. I just bought a second one. Thank you to the engineer who designed this. You are a genius. Now build one with a lip all around it so other types of bowls donโt fall off.

Ants...? Not anymore!!!!!! :)
I am BLOWN away on how effective this is!!! I was doubtful that this would work on keeping ants out of my dogs food. Every single day, I would find my dogs dish FULL of tiny ants. I tried EVERYTHING to keep them out of her food, but nothing worked. She's not the type of dog that would empty her bowl in one shot, but she'd have a bit at a time, before her bowls were empty. And each time her bowls were full of ants within an hour... I FINALLY came across this product and WOW this was a game changer!!! Not one ants in her bowls...!!! Not even near her bowls!!! My ant problems was eliminated the moment I decided to place her bowls on them. ( I bought 2) i highly recommend this for those dealing with this gawd awful problem!! I mean for years I've been dealing with this... And now, NO MORE ANTS!!!!

It Works!
Was skeptical at first, but this tray absolutely exceeded my expectations! I have been feeding stray cats for awhile, but would have to leave the food dish inside a tray of water to keeps the ants away. After reading reviews of various dishes and trays online, I decided to give this one a try. Sure enough, it absolutely worked! Been using it for several days and every time I check outside, no ants!

Works Like Magic
I was skeptical that an expensive piece of plastic would keep ants from invading the cats' dry food bowl. These ants are aggressive, they don't even wait for the cats to finish eating before they climb into the bowl. Once or twice a day I'd have to knock the ants around to try and convince them to leave. I tried moats of water around the food bowl but the ants would either float across on a small leaf that blew into the moat or they'd just wait for the water to evaporate, which it did quickly here in the SW desert. Cinnamon didn't deter them at all. Nothing worked. Desperate, I Googled "how to keep ants out of cat food bowl." This device was one of the responses. I read the reviews but was still skeptical when I added it to my cart and even more skeptical when it arrived, looking like another cheap plastic gizmo from China. But it works like a charm. I can leave the dry food bowl out all day without any ants. Only one time did it fail and that was because I inadvertently put it close to a plant. The clever ants climbed into the plant and down the branch that was barely touching the edge of the tray. I didn't use the included velcro because I have multiple bowls which I wash daily. Instead I cut a small square of Easy Liner, the mesh stuff that can be used on a shelf or under a throw rug to keep things from sliding. The bowl stays secure on the tray without the velcro patch. When I first set it out the cats looked askance at it, but it took only a few seconds before they started eating their crunchies. Initially I was hesitant to bring the tray in the house at night, fearing it might be full of ants. But I've been using it for a few weeks now and have yet to see an ant come out of it. The $20 price was worth it for the cats' comfort and for my time and stress level. One of the best things I've bought this year.

It Really Works!!!
This Ant Proof cat dog bowl tray Truly does keep ants from getting into the food. I love this Tray. I've convinced several Pet friends to get this tray for the pet dish. It has worked for dishes inside and outside. Just make sure it isn't up against a wall or fence...nothing that the ants can climb and drop down on it. Thank You for this tray that makes it possible to leave food out and not have it over taken by ants.

No more ants, it works, great product.
I am just amazed that this product actually works great. I have been fighting ants for years in my pet dishes. The ants win every time. But not anymore, thank you so much. I bought 2 to start and bought 2 more Yay!

Ants Gone, Cats Fed
I take care of the neighborhood cats and have a feeding station set up on my patio. Ants were a constant nuisance. My previous setup was a nylon-covered folding cardboard hut that provided overhead shelter for the food but did absolutely nothing about the ants. I replaced the hut with a raised enclosed feeding area and placed this tray underneath the bowl inside the shelter. The tray supposedly works by redirecting ants into a maze rather than letting them scale up to the food. Have I seen this in action? No. Is there a way to open the tray to confirm any ants met their end in the maze? No. The only feedback I have is that I haven't seen a single ant in the bowl since I changed the setup, and it's been a few months. The tray does its job. For the materials and the feel of it, I'd prefer it to cost a little less. It's nothing fancy, but combined with the raised shelter it's been an effective solution for keeping the food ant-free.

Buying more - they actually work very well!
I was skeptical that this would work with the sugar ant infestations this year (the barn cats' food would be covered in minutes, as would the inside cat bowl). I went on vacation and knew the water-under-the-plate trick would only last a day in the heat, and didn't want to add any more chores for our farm sitter. When I got back a week later, it was reported that not a single ant figured out how to get into the food. After a week of seeing for myself, it's pretty remarkable. Now that I know it works, I will be getting more to place around the property. Now if only they made somethign to keep out racoons :).

Funciona, calidad no tan bueno

Does its Job well.
It works really well especially for small ants. No idea about the big ones. The price is a bit on the higher end though. Its just the base on which you can place the food pot.

Jury's out
I've used this for a few days and it worked - to start with. Today I noticed a few ants on the tray itself, somehow they made it. I want this to work so I hope it's a temporary breach by a couple of ingenious ants.
