Review: One of the best tools for ritual! - It's kind of funny and really a great tool to have at your disposal. My favorite part is how she makes a ritual use for everything from bagels to wolfsbane. It seems pretty accurate from my perspective and I am very well versed with hetbs/stones/witchy crap. She adds some gods/goddesses that the item may correspond with which makes me happy. Its actually easy to kind of just read through because she breaks the bland definitions with humor and a lighthearted perspective. 10/10 will be purchasing as gifts for sure. Review: Symbolisms - I love learning about all kinds of deities and mythologies. I like having intellectual discussions about religious ideas with like-minded people. This book is interesting! I have a lot of clients that believe in the occult and ask for symbols and sigils in their tattoo designs. This is an interesting book and I have added it to my tattoo references collection!

Newbie witch, what the heck am I doing?
I am a complete newbie when it comes to wicca and magic, so I bought this because I felt I needed it. It comes with a list of ingredients (obviously), but then after the entire list; there is another list which organizes which of the ingredients are for what purpose (finance, spiritual, love, beauty). I was not disappointed.

Decent reference, lots of duplicate information
There's a lot of information packed inside, most of it is brief and not in depth, but more than enough to get your creative juices flowing. If you already own several reference books, (e.g. The Complete Book of Incense, Oils and Brews and the Encyclopedia of Crystal, Gem & Metal Magic, both by Scott Cunningham) you will find little new information here. If, however, you are new to the Craft and/or you don't already have a magickal encyclopedia, this one book will cover pretty much all your needs.

Great Resource!
We really like this book. In fact, we lost it and purchased a replacement. It's excellent. We used it to make soup for our friends last Christmas and everyone reported positive results. It's nice because so many things are covered. The charts are helpful. Unlike many other books, it's not just a list of items and their correspondences, it actually gives you detail, so you know if you might be counteracting the spell you're working on with similar but wrongly used items.

Great as a reference tool
Great as a reference tool. Pleased with the detail and easy to follow writing. This book is in alphabetical order therefore making it easy to navigate when searching for a specific item. I would recommend this as a 5 star reference guide for anyone who is looking for the "Magickal" essence of a specific item.

Nice Helpful Book
I enjoyed this book I have quite a few different books like this one by different authors however this one simplifies things although many of the items in this book have many other uses not listed.

Excellent basis for a wide range of ingredients in magick
I think this book is great for quick reference and discovering the magickal properties of different ingredients and their different forms (eg. the root vs the leaf) and contains a small paragraph on each. The book covers foods, herbs, some stones and plants (trees/flowers) which is more than I was expecting (I bought the book mainly for herbal knowledge but pleasantly surprised by finding a bit on pierogi) Great if you're just starting out, especially the table at the back- which in some ways is more convenient than the main book. I would definitely recommend this book for reference.

Excellent
Wanted to be able to look up the properties of everyday items, without having to look online. This book is almost perfect, the only things missing from it are nuts, I assume due to possible allergies.
