Why am I being charged for something I returned

It could be one of several reasons. The most common is probably that the allowed return period has expired. 
Or it may be that the item disappeared enroute back to Amazon. I had this happen, more than once. A certain shipping store, when I’d take my wrapped up package there, it wouldn’t ever make it back to Amazon. Silly me, I went there at least three times in the last few years, thinking it must have been an honest mistake. But it was too consistent for that.
Or it may be that the item can’t be resold for some reason such as damage or perhaps it was too broken in or used up to be sold again. 
There are sure to be other reasons also.
If you go to your orders page, Amazon will have written there the reason(s) why you didn’t receive a refund. The ad says women, men and youth. does it fit all three groups? i don't see where this says a size, so i'm assuming that one size fits all?
