Superficial Introduction to Gemstones Settings
The book is too superficial, and every project is explained through the support of digital images that do not really reflect the work of a goldsmith. AI could have done this book. Aside from useless images, the book can be an introduction to gemstone settings

Stone setting by Melissa hunt
Great book, I’m doing a setting course in September and this is very useful to me in my learning

Could be more detailed
It's good for an initial presentation of different stone setting techniques, but I find it a bit lacking in the details of fine stone setting

Bad illustrations, lackluster instructions
I wish I saw the other poor reviews before getting this book. Or better yet, I wish Amazon had a book preview to look through before buying, then I could have seen that this book wasn’t for me. The example diagrams weren’t very helpful (computer generated and not precise looking at all, not pictures from a jeweller’s bench). It was also misleading that this is a book from 2022. It’s actually from 2013 with “revised pictures” done in 2022. Overall don’t recommend. It doesn’t seem in depth enough to do any of the settings start to finish, as in steps/details are missing from it. Disappointing book, especially after seeing so many great reviews. A setting book I’d recommend to try instead is Anastasia Young’s “Gemstone Settings: The Jewelry Maker's Guide to Styles & Techniques”. From 2012, but has more in depth info, nicer layout, and overall just a much better book about setting.

Great book for the jewellers collection
Had some great info and designs good to see it close by and not on a computer screen
