are these too big for an id badge lanyard?

They are on the larger side but I use one on my lanyard for my keys. I don’t think it would be too big

Yes I used 750, you can put a double strand through the hole with some effort, a single pass easily. More than 2 passes through the hole is not possible though so it does depend on the weave you are going for.

How much does the complete rope bundle weigh?

Do not know exactly, but it is mere ounces. I would consider the weight of 5 bow shackles to be insignificant. BTW I use them everywhere.
