I ordered this 4M/157inch Shower Strip to seal the gap between my bath and tiled wall. The old silicone sealant had become mouldy and was peeling away, causing leaks whenever the shower was in use. This shower strip has proven to be an excellent solution. Upon arrival, the strip was rolled up in a packet, which initially worried me as I expected a hard plastic material. However, it is a flexible silicone strip, making it highly adaptable and easy to work with. The quality is great and feels durable. Cutting the strip accurately was a bit tricky due to its flexibility. I did a few test cuts using a Stanley knife before making the final cut, and it worked out fine. The adhesive provided, however, is a waste of time in my opinion. It barely holds and is not suitable for creating a water-tight seal. If you’re only sticking the strip for aesthetics, it might work, but for preventing leaks, it’s ineffective. Instead, I stripped away the glue from the strip to make the surface flat and applied a generous amount of waterproof silicone sealant along the edges. Pressing the strip firmly against the bath and tiled wall allowed the sealant to squeeze out slightly, which I wiped away for a clean finish. Once dried, the seal was incredibly strong and completely water-tight. This method creates a much stronger bond compared to the adhesive it comes with. Overall, the quality of this product is excellent, and it provides a perfect solution for sealing gaps in the bathroom. The delivery was fast, and the service was great. Highly recommend this shower strip to anyone facing similar issues.

Great quality product. It is made of silicone so bits of dust will stick to it after you unroll it and you need to keep it clean. Straight cuts totally fine, but its very difficult to measure and angle for a mitring corners. I had to make several attempts and even trid my mitre box but in the end did a bit of whittling and managed to get a passable meet. In order to allow for this mitring I got a 3m roll and did my mitre corners at each end, only cutting the final lengths out after offering up the mitres and measuring each end. I used CT1 sealant. I masked off the tile and the shower tray before applying beads of the CT1, removing the red sticky-tape cover and sticking the trim into position. Looks way better than I could apply silicone sealant alone. Its covered the 20mm gap I have. I’m giving this product 4 stars because I really needed help cutting the mitres and while I accept mitres can be individual (walls are sometimes not perpendicular) I still think some advice would haven helpful, especially since this is a Scotia pattern with different height sides. I’m going to use a bit of offcut from the left over to see if the cleaning product I currently use may stain or deteriorate this trim. Now I have it down the CT1 is likely to keep it there forever so I don’t want to discolour it.

I recently moved an now have a wet room, however the water drifts into the bathroom up to the toilet, I bought this and applied it to the shower boundary and sealed both inside and outside of the water barrier, it was a little better but water still leaked over reaching the sink creating a puddle, thinking I may not have used enough sealant once the area was dry I applied more sealant to both front and back, the water still seeps over, it was worth a try but doesn't work as well as it states or as I had hoped.

As previous reviewers have said, the adhesive didn’t stick well to the wall so I ran a thin line of sealant along to help it adhere. The product was easy to fit & easy to cut the required angles of the bath. I’m no DIY expert but I’m very pleased with the finished result around my bath.

Solved my shower leak. Very happy with this product. Easy to use and milipulate into position.

Waste of time, don’t waste your money! : poor adhesion and doesn’t stop water leaks.

Pour le moment, après une pose facile, le joint est très satisfaisant. J'attends de voir comment il va réagir à un usage intensif et aux colorants qui peuvent être utilisés en cuisine (tomate, curcuma, etc.)
