Amazon Beat the hell out of this poor fan but it remains in one piece and still working. The cage around the blade is a bit mishaped but I was able to cram it together. Solid product, now only if shipping could chill out a bit.

Update 2: yeah this is BY FAR the WORST fan I have ever had the displeasure of owning. Failure points: - base (cracked) -Pole (the only metal part besides the cage) empty and doesn't slot into the base tightly so you can't pick the fan up without it breaking in half The ossilate function: stopped working The neck joint completely shattered (entirely plastic) The entire head pointed down and, eventually just fell off completely. Leaning forward for months caused the blades to tilt forward, hitting the cage. The HOUSING for the actual motor FELL OFF!! exposed wiring is hot and dangerous. Save yourself the headache. Nobody will replace or refund me for this, even the manufacturer. This was a massive waste of money. 0/10 if I could. _--------------- I bought this fan a little over 4 months ago. The stand tube and cage are metal, but the rest of the fan including the base, motor casing, and most importantly, THE JOINTS, are all plastic and not a thick one. The head of this fan snapped off right at the joint after 2.5 months of use. We did not use the oscillating feature, so that was not a factor in the breakage. The fact is simply the head and motor are WAY too heavy to stay on those 2 little bits of plastic. I contacted Amazon who did not process a return. I contacted the manufacturer and was redirected to another place which was ultimately a dead end. I "repaired" the head with lots of duct tape, but its now super ugly and doesn't move. On top of that, the base plastic began to warp after a few days of the repair because of the weight being slightly uneven, so it threatens to lean forward. All things considered, I would not buy this fan again. I am usually a big fan of this brand, finding them to be the most reliable of the cheap "tools", but this one is a big miss. You're better off with a box fan for the price. The fan is not super quiet but it doesn't make loud sounds. It works well, the cord could be of a longer length though. Has 3 speeds, only highest is really worth it. Circulates the cold air from out AC downvent really well though. Only downside really is those incredibly weak joint. Whole motor and head is held up in what is essentially 2 thin vertical pieces of plastic.

I got this fan because i just broke mines and this fan is so good. I’m a lazy person and me in my bed with a remote that i can use. The remote is not that good but i can still use it like you have to use it at a specific place to make it work but this is the best. But when i first got it it had a smell like it was burning. Also it goes up to 3 fan speeds and it’s quite quiet can’t here anything and the fan give a good morning vibes. and you can adjust it up and down i kinda had a hard time getting the little thing to hold the fans had

Broke after 2nd use. When putting it together it felt kind of flimsy, with all the plastic parts. I bought this late-Summer of 2024 and only used it twice before the weather cooled off. Over the winter it was stored by the door to my deck, and a few days ago I heard a crash from that area. It turned out that my Roomba had bumped into the base of the fan, and the plastic part that holds the fan assembly on the base had simply broken. the fan was just handing by the cord after smacking the table it was next to on the way down. Now folks that have a Roomba know this already, but Roombas have bumpers that sense when they touch something and stop or change the vacuums' direction. I've had mine bounce off my bare feet with no problems, and my old dog used to herd it like a rodeo cow by letting it bump his paws. In short, a Roomba doesn't exert a lot of force when it bumps something... This fan is simply that fragile. Unfortunately it doesn't look like an easily replaceable part, and I don't want to get an exchange for the same fragile unit, so it will just go in the trash and I'll buy a different fan for this Summer. It's too bad. I grew up with the Black and Decker name being a decent, budget priced brand. The last three items I've gotten from them have been pure junk. This fan is the last straw... I won't be making that mistake again.

Love love this fan… Quiet at night I barely know it’s on. The remote is handy to turn off without getting out of bed. Keeps my room cool and cozy. I’m not very good at following directions but was able to put this together easy.

Pretty good fan. I sent back the first one thinking a part of it was missing, the silver part that the fan actually sits on, but it was slid inside the bottom post. It’s not as powerful as another fan that I bought off Amazon but it’s still pretty good. If you are wanting a fan for the noise this is probably not the one you want, but if you want a quiet one like me, this is your best choice for the money. I also like the bigger round base it sits on instead of the base just being legs.

The hinge that connects the motor to the base of the fan broke during shipping. It grenaded in such a spectacular fashion that the hinge is in several small pieces, most of which I'm guessing, are inside the lower portion now, as it rattles quite a lot. I was at least hoping to weld the plastic back together given I have the tools for that, but no.. Too many small, and unrecoverable fragments. The plastic portion of the hinge is so thin that I can't imagine it holding the heavy head of the fan up for long, had it even survived shipping. This is the last time I'm trusting Black and Decker for anything given the consistently poor quality of their recent products, and now I have to go through the painful process of attempting to return this scam of a product.

It was smelly at first (burning oil) but it goes away after few weeks. the most satisfying part is the remote control.

This item is currently in the back of my car and has a date with a dumpster. Within about 2 months of purchasing this fan it stopped working. The motor would hum, but the blades wouldn't rotate. Not ideal if a fan doesn't fan. I could manage to get it going by quickly spinning the blades manually by hand after removing the cover, like starting up an old prop plane. Eventually one of the blades broke, which throws off the balance. Now it gyrates like an only fans model. Avoid at all costs. I use fans as a sleep aid more than anything else and not only is (was) this fan quiet, but it generates very little air flow. I just replaced this POS with the following from Amazon: Simple Deluxe 18 Inch Pedestal Standing Fan, High Velocity, Heavy Duty Metal For Industrial, Commercial, Residential, Greenhouse Use, Black Twice the price, but this fan is solid and will probably out-live me.

We use a fan for white noise. Perfect. The remote is awesome. Nothing worse than getting into bed and forgetting yo turn the fan on. Works great
