How thick is this twine?

In response to "how thick is this twine" I just measured the string, it is a slightly heavy 1/16" when pulled tight. In the relaxed position it measures almost 3/32". hope this helped. I tied up a 12 pound standing rib roast on Christmas day and it worked as well as any other product I had used previously. Happy New year all! Amazon rocks.

can i use on top of stove in boilng water

I used it in 350 degree oven and water boils at what 210 degrees. You should be ok but I have never tried using in boiling water.

Why does Oxo charge $14 for the twine refill on Amazon, but only $8 on the Oxo website?

The string is not available now and OXO website doesn't have the dispensers anymore.

Cute looking does it’s job

This product makes a lovely addition to the kitchen. The string is strong and worked well on both chicken and pork meat. The addition of having a holder with a cutter makes it look nice in the corner of my worktop rather than just having a roll of string in the drawer. The string is versatile and can be used for tying other things whilst the cutter removes the need to find a scissors to cut. It would have been better to be able to put any roll of string when this one runs out but it is cone shaped so you will have to get the same string. Overall I think the product is good and tidy
