Great tin!
Good value. I believe the nutrition facts on Amazon are for just the squid / not the oil as well. The full can has more calories/fats/protein than the Amazon pic. You obviously can eat as much/little of the oil as you like to control this more, but if you're looking for a high protein snack / something with decent calories for weight gain then this is a great deal. Even without the oil it's still delicious and pretty healthy, and at $3.20 a can it is a pretty good deal. With some noodles and lemon/garlic you could make a restaurant-quality pasta for 2-3 for under $10.

Great Product
Delicious. Not rubbery, just the firm bite you would expect from well-prepared squid. Try it with a sprinkle of either Cavenderโs Greek Seasoning or Tony Chachereโs Creole Seasoning.

Tastes good, nutrition info is accurate
The squid tastes great. A few people are complaining about the nutrition info being wrong and are not realizing that the nutrition info on the package INCLUDES the oil in the can (which im guessing most are not going to eat), while the nutrition info on the Amazon listing EXCLUDES the oil in the can and assumes you drained it instead of eating every drop of it like a smooth brain.

Lots of oil in this, but the squid is pretty good
I only eat this right out of the can, sometimes with a bit of salt. I dip good bread or crackers into the oil, though I don't have all of it. The squid is good, and varies in size/thickness/tenderness between cans. A lot of oil in these, I noticed, more than I typically have in my other tinned squid. Also, I prefer pure olive oil, but I knew before I bought that this didn't have it. This was the best price I found for squid, but I think I will go back to the Goya Jumbo Squid in Olive Oil instead.

This is NOT octopus
This review is not based on flavor or value for money - It's based on deceptive advertising. The product name, image, and bullet points all indicate that this product is Octopus. I have reported inaccurate product image, name and bullet points to Amazon. I am not the first (see other reviews) to notice that the product shipped to me is squid, NOT octopus. The 'photoshopped'* label for this product, product name and bullet points all purport to sell an 'Octopus' product, but the product I received had a 'Jumbo Squid' label w/ingredients of Jumbo squid w/sunflower and olive oil. The product shipped is not the product advertised (on Amazon), and I know from consumer experience that octopus is more expensive than squid. One can almost always tell the difference when eating the product fresh (not so easy when it's been chopped up, processed and put in a can). I'm not sure whether there is some sort of translation (from Spanish to English) issue here, because the Spanish language writing on the product says 'Calamar Colosal' and the English language writing on the product says 'Jumbo Squid' - Note that 'Calamari' is a culinary term which typically includes squid, sometimes cuttlefish and very rarely octopus (depending on what is caught, available or desired). This is all of little consideration as anyone catching, selling, preparing, producing this product would definitely know that Squid and Octopus are two different products. The differences are distinct enough to make a considerable cost difference at market (fresh or prepared). Selling Squid as Octopus is wrong. Amazon should pull this product from its store until such time as the product information is corrected. (I'm calling it 'photoshopped', (I'm referring to the sellers image (which says they're selling octopus), not the image I uploaded. I uploaded an image of the product packaging that arrived with my purchase - It says squid) because one can clearly see from casual observation that the label applied over the top of the box in the image is not the same resolution, and the corners of the 'label' do not align to the box corners with correct angles or proportions)

Good, honest, tinned squid
With tinned fish becoming such a hip item these days, the cost is being driven up. Just a few years ago I could get some of the prominent brands at a really good price. Now they're all out of my price range, but not these succulent yumsters. Vigo makes a mean tinned squid in oil. My people love them. They have a nice springy texture that is not too rubbery and they're decently salted. I tend to eat them straight from the tin over the sink, but you could probably build an attractive fancy spread with these guys.
