Really cool ice cream recipes and dessert ideas, most definitely British in its sensibilities but adaptable for the American kitchen. There are a few ingredients that you will have to do some homework to find, if your like me game on. If you expect to go to your corner market and find EVERYTHING you need for every recipe, not for you.

I enjoy very much the story behind the book, the ways to rememeber family heritage and to thank our ancestors.

A truly excellent book. There are some really delightful ice creams, sorbets and bombes in here, many with ingredients you would never associate with ice cream, or any dessert come to that. Orange and candied peel ice cream, mmmm!

I bought it after I saw some enthusiastic comments about it by a friend on Facebook and I have to say she was not exaggerating. Recipes are mouthwatering and easy to follow and the text provides very interesting background information.You won't be disappointed,

not impressed, tried a few recipes and not great, a lot of hassle making up the syrups, another dust collector to add to my shelf!

This was a present which went down well, though I've yet to see any ice cream. It looked the best book of its type.
