These snips are hard-working and seem to be able to cut through anything. We have used them to cut back small tree saplings, not-so-thin shrubs, dowels (not the thickest ones, obviously), foil pans, whatever. We find ourselves reaching for these more often than not. These utility snips are sharp and powerful. They need to be used with care and kept closed whenever not in use, if even for a second. For that purpose and to make opening and closing them easy, Fiskars placed an orange button where the snips hinge that is pushed back and forth as needed to open and close the snips. This safety feature couldn’t be more convenient. These are quality snips, and with proper cleaning and lubrication, they will last forever. I almost didn’t buy these because I was looking for scissors and I thought they were more than we needed. Plus, they cost a little more than I wanted to spend. However, I am so glad I did. They are worth every penny.

Very good quality as you would expect for heavy duty shears. Easy and comfortable to hold and use. Blades felt pretty sharp although I have not used them on hard materials, so hard to comment on their durability.

As a for owner or the 8” regular style scissors like these,I’d have to say that these are more comfortable in your hand and a lot easier to cut with.I have fairly large hands,so that wasn’t really my problem.Its just that you can’t really get enough leverage to cut anything that takes a little power to cut.These though,they are made to use your whole hand and it makes it so much easier and them being as sharp as they are makes it even easier.I also saw in comments that the lock mechanism left the tip of the scissors open a little,or the lock broke easily or came broke,which made me skeptical,so I almost didn’t get them.Well so far I have none of them problems and I’ve been using them all day to cut metal screen.It seems to be made from good materials and not cheap metal or plastic,time will tell if it’s worth the money or not. I’ll also write another review if problems arise.

Every bit as good as more popular brands that cost significantly more money. So good, in fact, that I own one of about every size they make. The latch that holds them closed is easy to operate and intuitive.

I'm happy, needed it to cut a wired air con filter to fit, it is doing the job, I am learning.

After returning two different (1 lighter and 1 heavier) Fiskars snips, I have finally found the sweet spot. These are awesome... a lifetime tool. Number one is the previously easily broken close lock mechanism. This version has cured that fiskars weakness with a slick new click button. (the reason I returned the other 2) Interestingly, there is also an apparently IDENTICAL unit that costs $58!! Double the cost of this one. So I asked grok Ai. He says they're the exact same thing. Just get this. It's rugged.

Great design. Very precisely made. Comfortable and powerful cutting. Very sharp and effective on everything from tissue paper to heavy leather and even light sheet metal.

great product EXCEPT for blade lock quite working after 3 uses and return window expired. It's a HAZARD now that the blades no longer lock in the closed position - instead it locks them in the open position ! This brand is USUALLY high quality we own several styles. Maybe I just got a bad one

Fue una compra excelente. Me gusto mucho el tamaño y se amolda perfecto a la mano, es muy buena calidad y el proposito de comprar estas tijeras fue para un trabajo especial y estoy totalmente conforme y satisfecho. Estoy seguro que Fiskars es muy buena calidad....

La lame est très qualitative, sans aucun jeu, mais mériterait d'être un poil plus longue. En revanche, le plastique du manche est un peu léger, j'aurais préféré quelque chose de plus rigide et solide. Egalement, il aurait fallu que la lame aille jusqu'en bas du manche pour permettre d'avoir plus de levier lors des coupes difficiles.

Use them in the workshop to cut most everything. Liked them so much I bought another pair for the 4WD. They cut extremely well. A solid unit.
