Good quality material. Easy application. Affordable. Cool logo. I mean not much else to say. I bought it because I bought a toolbox for my pickup and put a train horn air compressor inside of it. Before I lined the toolbox with this material, when the compressor would run, it sounded like a bunch of tin cans rattling around. Now, it's silent as can be. Made the toolbox feel solid. Would definitely buy again. If you're going to cut it, be careful, I did accidentally slice two of my fingers open. Like papercuts but times 5. Gloves would probably be smart.

Upon opening the box I had that “this is going to be messy” thought. It is simple to cut, peel, and place. And it doesn’t stick to you or your scissors but very much to where you put it. Sound reduction is noticeable.

Did my doors, big difference.

I had a noisy fuel pump in my '32 Ford hot rod. The pump raised the noise level inside the car by 21db. I replaced 10" of metal fuel line that is clamped to the frame on both the inlet and outlet sides with hoses. That lowered the sound level to 16db. I then used the sound mat to wrap the pump itself and lowered the sound level to 13db. The material was remarkably easy to cut and form to the tight shape of the pump. There is no worry that it will ever come loose...ever.

While not designed for working on a forced air furnace, it does help to cut the dB level by about 5dB (from 80 to 75dB). It helped to cut down on the subsonic vibration on the furnace walls as well. The adhesion worked well - if you use a roller to press out most of the diamond pattern.

Actually bought this product a second time, once I finished my first door I knew I wanted to complete the other and then tackle the sliding door. I’ve found that the product is easily cut to fit, plastic backing is easily removed and the adhesive qualities are extraordinary. When we were done we drove van around, instant difference in noise level, from an annoying 9 back down to a real 2!!!! Heat transfer from outside of metal doors to inside is about a 20 degree drop east. To conclude the product works and works well. I strongly suggest purchasing a prying tool set 5 pieces all worth there weight in gold for removing panels from doors. What are you waiting for?

So to start I have degreased anything that wouldn't promote adhesion and they still don't stick very good. I have also rolled over the product with a roller to promote better adhesion and it almost made it worse at times. I'm not sure how long this will so a further review in the future may be necessary.
