Question 1

There are several reviews about these figs containing bugs and mold.  Can the manufacturer comment on this? I want to try them but am  now hesitant.

Thank you for your question! This is an issue that is very rare but does occur on occasion due to the organic and pesticide-free nature of our Figs. But don't worry! We offer a Satisfaction Guarantee and are happy to refund or replace orders where any contaminants may have been found.
 
Here's what we suggest: when you buy a bag of Organic Figs, look in the bag for any contaminants before eating any figs. We suggest splitting open each fig before eating just to be absolutely sure it's clean (this is a good practice whenever you eat Organic Figs, whether they're from Made In Nature or any other manufacturer). If you find any contaminants, take a picture of the bag contents and the Best By Date and send the pictures to us by going to our seller profile page and clicking "Ask a Question". In a few days or less we'll get you a replacement or refund!

I honestly did not count the amount of figs in every 40oz bags I have purchased. I will say that The 40oz gives me quite a few snack bags of 5-7 figs in each..The snack bags actually keep the figs  moistured.
