Exact Dell replacement fit as original and will work properly with the finicky Dell charger. Sometimes Dell chargers will reject 3rd party batteries. This battery is significant value of the money over Dell branded battery. If you follow instructions and fully charge/discharge the battery 3-4 times before usage, the battery has amazing discharge capacity and duration.

Dell Inspiron 1545
This battery works for the Dell Inspiron 1545. It gives a total of 3:45 min more battery life then stock battery I have. I currently was given a Dell inspiron laptop. I use Linux with it and turned it into a dvd media player. Battery life improved alot with this upgrade. Stock battery was going bad and roughly held a charge for 30min.
