I needed some new rims for my road bike, the previous one were done, I tried to make them true again…and it didn’t go as planned. So i just decided to make an investment, And i went and purchased the Bucklos rims!..let me tell you , best decision i made when it comes to bike riding…they are light, ride smoothly & look good …

I purchased a set of these rims back in late June of 2023 and have experienced 7 flats since starting to use them. After purchasing them, I purchase new Continental tires and tubes just to start out with a fresh ride. The trend has been that I have developed a flat tire almost every other time that I've gone for a ride. Each time I would check the tire to ensure there was not thorn or other foreign object causing the flat. After my fourth flat, I did some investigative work on the tubes from my prior two flats and found that they were in the same location about 6" from the stem and just above a spoke hole in the rim. I found a very small bumb under the rim tape and found a slight rough area on the rim on under the tape. My bike mechanic suggested I take a round file the the area to ensure there is no obstruction or bur. I did this and had a success couple of rides before the problem returned. I've been in communication with Bucklos but finding the whole experience to be frustrating. They have been responsive but requiring pictures andlinks and I'm ready to just move on. As a side note, I've been fortunate in the past because there have been years where I haven't experience flats for 2 or 3 years and this summer has made up for all the flat-free years.

I purchased a set of these wheels in August 2023 and within 200 miles I had 2 broken spokes on the rear wheel. Fortunately, they provided 2 extra spokes. Currently after about 1,800 miles I have broken 13 spokes (out of 24) and they have all been spokes that came with the wheel and none of the replacement spokes that I have provided have broken. Additionally, the rim strip is so flimsy that I was getting flats due to the strip being pushed into the rim spoke holes. I had to put a new rim strip in to prevent this from happening. Not sure if I should replace the whole wheel or just keep replacing spokes until the old spokes are gone. Will not buy from this manufacturer again.

Only have 30 miles on rims at this time. Working well. Looks very good. Update: 9-21-2022 Have had 2 spokes pop in a weeks time.
